God, Religion and other ish

This has got to be the most controversial topic imaginable, RELIGION. Religion sucks so bad. Why must we be placed in categories, each strict in its own beliefs? Why must we accept their god? I believe in highly advanced beings having a part in our existence on earth but i do not believe a single entity created us. Its too simple of an explanation to say god made everything, and thats what people like, simpleness. Its far more complex than what we are being told and so i decided to drop all things religious ive been taught whether it be through parents, tv, church and whatnot and i no longer adopt the beliefs of other to fit in. If no one ever spoke to me about the subject, if i never heard the words heaven, jesus, or satan i would of been free to explore my mind, tap into hidden powers and use my true potential. But its with these words which we associate with death, well being, evil and good. From birth we are taught these things and its f'd up. Religion is a blindfold. If your religious chances are you are very strict on yourself and what you allow your mind to do. Dont be religious be FREE! It doesnt mean you dont believe in god it just means you have a personal understanding of these mysterious forces, you dont need their church or their blessings to connect with that higher power we all hold it! When you drop all this ish youve been taught you can do what you truly want with your life, dont fear death and love everything is my way of life. I can wear an inverted crucifix and think nothing of it, because it wont mean to me what it does to you.
Just my 2 cents:-P

The upside down crucifix thing is just something put in scary movies. St Peter was going to be crucified and he said he wasn't deserving to die the same way his Savior, Jesus, died. So he asked to be crucified upside down instead. So it's actually a symbol of St Peter's reverence to God. Symbols are important in every religion. A necklace with the Star of David symbol, for example, wouldn't have much significance to me, either. Neither would a pentagram necklace. Symbols take on the meaning you assign to them.
