Golden Barrel Blackstrap Molasses

Can't find ANYWHERE (Including their website!!!) whether it's unsulphered or not! It's real cheap, golden barrel is the brand, and it's blackstrap molasses. their picture is too small to read! so frustrated! Does anyone know the cheapest place online to buy unsulphered blackstrap molasses??? I have been looking for waaaaay too long!

Any blackstrap is fine. Unsulfured is not the same thing, but will work as well. Blackstrap is the best for our use, unsulfured is next.

Blackstrap is actually a step in the refining of molasses. The third IIRC.

Sulfur is added as a preservative and not healthy for the micro herd, that is why you want un sulfured.

Can you clarify? Are you saying that blackstrap is sulfured?

Usually not, but I guess some could be.

I've seen the same grade of molasses both with and without sulfur, but I think it was a step or 2 more refined than the blackstrap.

Like I said, blackstrap is a step in the process and the sulfur is a preservative, that may or may not be added.

Making any sense? Sort of like buying gas. Most places, the regular has ethanol added, a few places have regular with no ethanol, but both are still regular grade, same octane.

Yeah, it makes sense I had just always thought that blackstrap hadn't gotten to the point of adding sulfur.
