Gone Clean.

i think the newb should've read the entire thread. i'm not convincing anybody hater. lol. and it's not 60k. it's 40k i'm gonna get paid. and that's not a lot of money if you make more than that.

if you've been struggling to pay bills for a few years that's a gold mine. there's not that many jobs that'll pay a fresh college grad that money. those days are looong gone....

been ganja free for 15 days now. i smoked regularly but not a lot. i'd say 2-3 bowls a day. for the 10 days after the first interview i'd bike 18 miles, on a single shift aluminum cruiser bike, averaging 16mph, which is as fast as the cranks/gears let me go..... i stopped a few days ago b/c i know how it binds to fat and how working out releases more of it. so i tried to sweat out as much as possible and apparantely it says i'm negative. but the line was REAAALLLLY faint.... which has me kind of worried.

that's why i'm diluting the shit out of it... lol... i eat plenty of protein so when i drink the shit out of some water the creatinine levels shouldn't be a problem, like i said, i'm pretty fit and still have youthfully fast metabolism...

well i've found out that i might have to go through a staffing agency for the probation period, and the paperwork takes around a week or two.

so i don't have to go in for the drug test just yet. phew!!! i thought i had to go in tomorrow. nope. the official job offer doesn't even mention a location for where/when i have to go in. i'll check in tomorrow with the HR lady to find out about the staffing agency, b/c they're the ones that'll do the pre-employment DT....

through some digging i was able to find out that i'm going to be subject to a urine test.

more relieved that i'll get more time to clear my system out...

so i've been weed-free 3 weeks and relatively confident in how i'll come out on the drug test.

anyways i've decided to take on a new hobby.

SKYDIVING.

2600 for the USPA class A license... kind of an expensive hobby.... anybody here into jumping out of perfectly good planes??

ok. so D-day is here. tomorrow, 10am, i take the drug test that will decide if i get this job, or if I don't.

i googled the payroll company that's going to do it and they do pre-employment urine screening. if they pop up with a hair test, i'll be screwed... lol...

i have 2 gallons of water on the counter ready for gulping in the morning, i have the vitamin b complex, and i've steadily been increasing my protein intake (a lot of meat, a lot of egg, and 12gs of whey protein every 2 days), so my creatinine levels should be there.... haven't smoked since August 8, 2011.

anybody have any experience with those??? you pee in a cup and they put it in this machine?? it's supposed to be instant but they didn't tell me straight up if i passed or not. i wrote a phone number down , which should mean if i fail they call me. no phone call yet. i'm shittin bullets.

it's been 2 hours and no call yet. i'm freaking out.. and i have to go do a gig in 30 mins, shift starts at 2:30 and i won't be back til 12-1am.... i'm soo tired and don't know if i'm going to pass or fail this shit... :S

can't let this one pass finished my degree 2 years ago and hadn't got an offer quite like this. not gonna pass it up....not every day you get an offer for first office job out of college that pays 40k base.... oh and it includes FULL benefits, 18 days PTO per year, M-F, 7am - 4pm.... it's pretty fucking perfect.... and it's only 17 minutes away during the worst traffic i've ever seen on the interstate......

Is the US really in that bad a shape? I don't mean to be a downer, but I never went to college and I wouldn't get out of bed for 40k US. I don't have a degree but even the 58k with commission would be annoying me! I also get 20annual leave days, 12 rdo's and 10 sickies, plus public holidays, mind you I work different shifts, but fuck you should be getting more than that for all the study you put in, I hope you smash the commission and make 80K

When I had one they put in in a metal centrifuge deal. I didn't know the results until a day or 2 later when they called and officially hired me

was it the e-screen?? the paper they gave me says Non-DOT eCup Instant Test.

but they didn't tell me the results while i was there... should i call in?? or let the anxiousness and anticipation kill me??

This is fucking ridiculous, no wonder the USA economy is so fucked! read more of the thread now and I can't believe that a country that has what 17 states with medical marijuana also adopts drug testing policies for educated people that aren't doing jobs involving high risk machinery or the likes. Sorry to say but your country has some fucking atrocious hypocritical standards...
