Good Blueberry Strain?

Whats a good pure Blueberry strain? My thought was DJ Short's since I think it's the original and is what all good breeders use to cross.

Also, any good crosses of Blueberry to recommend? Blueberry X NL sounds nice.

Are there any Blueberry X Sativa? Like a Blueberry haze? I would like to have taste and height of indica with high of a sativa.

Thanks.

DJ short is the man for Blueberry. Excellent genetics, you could go from Blue Moonshine for a narcotic stone to F13 for a ring the bell high. If you're going blue go DJ.

If you're on a budget and just can't afford DJ's beans the next Blueberry I'd look at would be PeakSeedsBC's. Peak uses genetics from DJ's and Sag's (and Dutch Passion but don't hold that against them) in their Blueberry and they are very good breeders, tucked away on one of our marijuana Islands up here in Canada. If you're in Canada $30 CAD per pack, if you're out of Canada $40 USD per pack, mixed pack of 20 seeds the same price. Shipping included.

An excellent purple strain called Querkle by Subcool (TGA) will give you a pronounced grape taste and great potency. Often Blueberry plants will have little or no blueberry taste but with Subcools strains the fruit flavor is supose to be pronounced with each strain. Subcool is a medical strain Breeder who works with a group called The Green Avengers, they breed very potent plants that are all supose to have distinct, pronounced fruit flavors. Subcool is one of, if not the, most respected breeders on this forum.
"Also, any good crosses of Blueberry to recommend?"

The Blue Haze you mentioned comes up a lot, Blue Cheese (Skunkberry) is one I've grown. PeakSeedsBC' (Texada Timewarp X Blueberry) is one I want to try but it will most likely be tall (TT can get to 12' outdoors)

- "Jack The Ripper by
Subcool

It has been described by UK growers as the best 8 week haze ever produced."
High type - Intense, trippy, visual, phase shifting, increased heart rate, heavy crash increased appetite, pain relief, paranoia.

Awesome man. Thanks so much for the detailed reply. Given me alot to consider. I had read about Subcool's strains before and they do sound quite impressive, especially for the price. How did your grow with Blue Cheese go? Thanks again Hobbes. +Rep

"How did your grow with Blue Cheese go?"

It was Skunkberry from PeakSeedsBC. It will be different than another breeder's Blue Cheese.

I found that it wasn't potent enough, I've built up a high tollerance from years of poor bud. I only flowered a few plants over a couple grows, sometimes you have to go through a whole pack of seeds to find that one great pheno that you keep as a mother. Don't discredit the strain because of my experience with a few plants. I have however found this with two other Peak strains as well, could be me more than the beans.

Relaxed stone.

The taste was mildly cheese but I didn't notice any blueberry.

Easy, easy to grow. Practically helps you take care of the other plants.

I kept a clone from the best mother, I'll run it again some day, maybe germ a few more beans to look for that special pheno.

.

Right now I buy from these breeders:

.Serious Seeds (5 strains: "If all I could smoke was Serious bud for the rest of my life I'd be a happy man" - common comment by those who grow serious strains)
.Subcool (TGA) (potent strains for the medical community)
.Elite (potent clone only crosses)
.Reservoir (hard to get any variety, most beans sell out the same day they're listed)
.DJ Short (legend. The man for blue)
.BOG (legend. Phenominal med strains)
.Dr Greenthumb (clone only and hard to find strains)
.PeakSeedsBC (easy to grow, stable plants)

There are lots of other breeders who are great but these guys caught my eye because of great reviews by growers. Some have great prices too.

For the medical community - high quality / low price. I've got his Jack The Ripper, JillyBean (Mz Jill-TGA), and Pandora's box on order, should be in this week. Add that to Elite's Super Strawberry Diesel that's vegging, Rez's Killer Chemdog waiting to germ, and Serious Kali Mist and Bubblegum flowering and I'm going to have quite a garden. I've bumped Barney's Red Diesel because it hermies, and isn't very good. Dr Greenthumb's Big Laughing might not be cloned for a while if the new strains turn out as nice as they sound.

My favorite Blueberry strain is Joey Weeds BlueberryXCinderella99. Its a great tasting strain with a strong buzz. Its not a good outdoor strain but it still produced some exellent smoke anyway!

blueberry x NL is good imo, dj short bb isn't the biggest yielder but has top shelf buds, blue dream is a good cross of haze and blueberry, most all blueberry varieties I have had have been really good. Some taste better than others but the high is good for pain and makes me feel mentally uplifted. I have seen a blueberry sativa dominant hybrid (clone only) here in the NW. But that may or may not help you. Good luck finding the variety you are looking for. I am growing blueberry currently and hope to find out what variety I have really soon. I know this cut came from a dr. so I have faith that it is quality genetics.

Peace and Good Luck!

eskobar breeds a blue sativa usually sold out though, so does Homegrown fantaseeds, buf HGF is sold out except for at herbies headshop >here<. i just harvested some Blue mystic by nirvana, its my second run of the plant, plenty sativa in this plant but also some indy, blueberry muffin smells on the indica pheno clone, and Blueberry velvet for the more sativa dominant clone. got 2.5 oz of these 2 plants in 2 gallon pots. 1328716345474.jpg, they changed color outdoors but not indoors, also not as dense as outdoors as i need some co2 cannisters. smells nice, dready sativa buds, very very sticky stuff. crystals all on these plants are hard, organic and 1 week dry only.

Sannies Killing Fields would be a great choice too. I know there's blueberry sativa as well as true blueberry in its genetics.
