good density strain? That handles heat well

So i am certain my fucking room temps contributed to my airy buds on my first grow. I recently put in another fan (12in cheap $20 fans). My questions are which strains handle heat well? My temps get to the hottest at 90......Should i be looking for denser strains? Or should i throw a window unit in the room? Quessing thats the best way....

Get a window unit...
I'd worry more about how to get the hot air out the room, than what strain can handle your bad environment. thats just me

I'm growing Jack Herrer autos and consistently have hi temps in grow tent and they don't seem to mind. I'm 3 weeks into flower and have temps around 85-88 during majority of the day and they are always perky never seems to stress them. Also for an auto flower thy are quite large with tons of bud sites Just my 2 cents

Most indica dominant strains handle high temps well mate. AK 48, Bubba Kush, Aurora indica to name a few. So a little story, Now I had a white widow years back, my temps use to get up to 90. I grew with CFL's and the soft white lights put out a lot of heat. But when the plant was growing it had nice dense buds. But when it dried it was really airy. This was my first grow so stoney was confused. How could a dense plant have such airy buds when dried? Had to be the heat and white widows probably don't like heat so don't grow that strain.

are you sure it wasn't the drying and curing that made your bud fluffy?

Pretty sure it wasn't the drying. I hung it to dry in the closet like advised, not to fast not to slow. It had to be the heat and/or maybe excess nitrogen because I remember the plant had clawing of the leaves. Now this was me first grow so I didn't know any better. But i do know that white widow is a hybrid and hybrid tend to be picky about everything.

This happened to me with autos on my first grow. Clawing, yellowing. The airy buds were disappointing. I'm about to flip on my second grow and I'm way ahead of the first one but still make mistakes. Just not the same ones. Lol.

Exactly. I need to do a HUGE update to my grow thread.....but my plants after my 1st grow are rediculous compared to my 1st grow. Not sure ill be fucking with Auto's much more......About to start clonning. I plan on clonning my Lemon Kush and OG kush. So Things should be looking up. lol.

things I changed from the first grow.

EVERYTHING lol.

Mainly I stip ALOT of the plant and schwazze the plant now also. I top, strip all the shitty branches that havent caught up with top growth, then i start taking looks at the tops and make sure i dont have any more fucking popcorn buds. I literally pull all the small "budsites" and hope that the plant redirects all that energy to top growth. I have really noticed a difference when i do this. Opens up the entire plant, reduces the small buds, redirects energy to the tops, not as much heat issues. I love stripping the plant and watching it go to town with NEW growth. Something i have been playing with, my strain hunter money maker is the first victim. It has been vegging for 2 and a half months....It actually is starting to produce buds and throwing crazy hairs and its not even flipped yet. Not sure if its bad or not lol but I was able to get the shape out of the plant I wanted. My OG Kush on the other hand is going to be a monster. Im working on my heat issues. Its summer and i fucking hate it. lol.

nice! I have the money maker as well, it smells great. Can't wait to smoke it :weed:. The mother is about to be harvested, with nice phat buds(would of been bigger if i didn't have nutrient issues and limited light) have two clones that's been in over 5 week veg, mainlined, topped twice. going in 12/12 soon under 600hps... it seems like this plant can handle some heat(its been in the 80s-86), however I think its easy for this plant to get the claw. Its' been getting 1/3 nute strength lately and the plant is responding well to that... what light are you using ?

More light it always good 8-) I got 2 Marshydro 300watt LED under two plants(WWxBB and money maker)... its taking forever to finish flowering.Half my fault/ the other half is the cheap low wattage light.
Now that I have HPS, im only going to use the LED for veg. In the future ill use some LED as supplemental lighting for flower

Funny i been thinking of switching to HPS due to the low yields of the cheap led's. I cant afford to lose $ lol. So I may just buy a 450w HPS for flower. use the LED and my t5's for veg

Ive seen people grow DANK with T5's only, they would which out some bulbs and install UV lights sometimes... however they are more expensive short term than HID lights, but will save you money in the long term. I think

Ime density comes from genetics (indica dom or hybrid) and environment. Before I'd go spending money on higher quality genetics I'd work on my environment. Try to get your humidity down around 50% and temps in 70s and I think you'll be surprised at how much more dense your current strains get

I need to add a window unit. I got my temps down to 81-84 during most of lights on. By keeping the grow room door open (which isnt ideal) but it helps. so i do it everyday now. but have been sleeping in and leaving the fucking door open lol.
