I seen my first one in HI in person . I want ! Very good looking remote control car . Lol
Last night on the Trump channel they were talking about the drive less cars and how they will effect the economy and put a bunch of people out of jobs. Technology will kill man kind as we know it.

It ain't building heat like it would in direct sun, brother. I've done my fair share of roofing, too- and I've done something else;

I've actually grown weed in an Arkansas attic in the summer WITH NO AC. :shock:

Very climate dependent; low altitude, high temps and humidity = reduced benefit.

High altitude, low humidity = big benefit.

35,000 traffic deaths each year in the US alone....self driving cars will save millions of lives.

Was this a photovoltaic setup or for heat?

Photo panels need to be as cool as possible to increase efficiency, the hot air/hot water types of course need to be as hot as possible. I can see how the heat types could be a mess in warm climates in the summer... leading one to ask, 'why would you want to?'

I don't see how that would be less expensive, more desirable or even more survivable.

I look forward to seeing how things evolve and I don't mind being proven wrong.

because it does not look like a solar roof.....I like that & I would pay extra for that

Photovoltaic - electric.
But even still unless the whole roof was covered from end to end you still wouldn't see a benefit in high heat areas . Not enough to further increased savings .
