I just read 4 articles in the series. Between the levees hemming up the Mississippi and shoving the silt out to sea and sea level rise due to global warming, it sounds like the entire bayou is doomed.

And that's a truly terrible thing.

What's worse is that a tiny group of people are responsible for the current administration making the decision to walk away from the Paris Climate Accord, people who won't be held accountable for the unfolding disaster in the bayou and around the whole world.

Insane.
The world's fucked. It won't last forever the way man kind is going. Greed will be our downfall.

No. Our own senses of ethics, creativity, imagination, judgement, compassion, wisdom and love.

There will always be our worst instincts, buried within all of us. We do not have to let them define us- or our fate.

Natural gas is much less environmentally destructive than coal. So at least there's that.

Renewable energy is better than either one.
We have a lot of it, so it should stay pretty low cost for a while. The trucks for our local gas company have all been modified to run on NG. They get pretty good mileage.

We didn't stop using whale oil because we ran our of whales. It got too costly and other oils were better liked. It will change, but it will be in stops and starts. Cheap gas is going to make the change slower. If we were paying 5 bucks a gallon, things would change in a hurry.

Which is why we must take their power to destroy lives and works away from them. This isn't a new idea; the Founding Fathers sought to do the very same thing.

Aristocracy is bad. Subverting democracy is bad. It's time to put an end to both.

Electric cars are getting cheaper and so is the power to run them with. The cost/benefit will drive innovation.

So, in your mind one master is bad, but many masters is okay? It's time to put an end to masters.

Not sure what kind of morning we had. I got up, ate breakfast and went back to bed. But this afternoon has been really nice. At 1555 it's sunny, 80F with 65% humidity. Forecast high/low is 81/62F with 10% chance of rain.

I didn't even go to the garden for my morning smoke. And I'm over run with costumers, so no chance to do it now.
