I started posting in the grow forum a few months ago and forgot to introduce myself. Well long story short. I am a Construction manager for water and waste water treatments facilities. Been on medical leave for 16 months so far. Was stoner late 70's early 80's after high school but career went the direction of drug tests so I have been clean since 1982. Found out about hep c and Cirrhosis 18 months ago and have been in treatment for 11 months and about to start another round of the nasty stuff in a few months. Any how returned to pot to help with the treatments. Were I live (az) I just don't know anyone and its very scarce, so I figured the best is to just grow my own. You can see in my post's, I am 5 weeks in to flowering of my first grow and things are looking great. I use a southern cal group for clones and meds (my hats off to them) and things are going pretty well. :bigjoint:

this is my first time on this site, well actually not my first, id google some questions i had and most of the answers would lead me to this site, so i decided to join up and get advice from some of you "expert" growers. First i guess ill introduce myself.....

I live in MT so really chronic weed is not hard to find, its just so damned expansive. an eighth cost $50 and an ounce can be as much as 300-400...so like any poor farmer (jk) im deciding to grow marijuana for medical reasons.i started my setup before reading alot of posts on here so i dont think my grow room will be adequet. i have a 18x13x35 grow box, 1 26 watt cfl and 1 43 watt cfl and im thinking of getting another lamp and 43 watter..i have a timer and everything..i have 3 pots in there and my seeds are germinating as we speak.

now ive read alot about growing, and i doubt my setup will yield the results im hoping for..im thinking ill prolly get a good half O to a full once off the 3 plants if/when they grow..any suggestions..or should i just throw in the towle now and start up again when im more prepard with better lighting, soil, and space?

No don't throw in the towel. I am cloning, veg and flowering. My clone area just big enough for the humidity dome and 2 23w cfl's. My veg area is set up to allow 10 plants to get 10" tall and I am running 4 23w cfl's there. Keeps it slower so that flower can finish up. Flower room 32" x 20" x 64" and has an 8 site top feed hydro. I am only using 5 sites. This is where you really need the light. There is a forum dedicated to cfl's and you may get some ideas there. In flower room I have 14 23w cfl's and 2 70w hps so that's a lot of light and my plants are 26" tall today. I don't think you are out anything but you will probably find that you will keep adding stuff until you get what you want. I am shooting for 5 complete plants every 2 months at around 30' tall should yield me around 1/4 to 1/2 pound.:peace:

thanx man...ive been on since like 830 this morning and ive learned alot in the cfl page. i have a few ideas im gonna play around with and it seems like im going to HAVE to invest in better lighting...but i planted seeds from a schwag bag because you dont find seeds in any chronic bag here so im stuck with some bad seeds. so im looking at it like i have a small grow area with a bad setup with bad seeds ..so ill prolly grow some shit weed, but oh well..ill learn alot from it and keep those ideas untill i can afford a good setup with even better lighting!!!i may even buy seeds online if possible..

can anyone direct me to a RELIABLE site to order chron seeds from

seedboutique or attitude always works for me... Doc chronic has always worked for me also but some people have had bad experiences with him I hear.. i didnt though he got me my seeds to NYC each time within 4 days... seedboutique can take a few weeks but they always come thru too and so does attitude
