Im looking for a strain that will perform well in the northern hemisphere. Im around the great lakes. I need a pretty disease resistant strain/mold resistant. Im looking for a good body stone/confusing high. If anyone can help me out with some suggestions that would be great.

anything indica or indica dom will be fine aorund us.... or even short flowering sativas like lets say a durban poison. just watch for mold on pure indicas, though sometimes you can harvest them before the wet season of oct.

Good, I always like someone who uses the world as a grow room. If you are expecting a real wet season you can cover your plant to speed up maturation.

You should probably go with indica if you prefer down rather then up.

I would recommend a good og clipping or anything that is close to a 65/35 sativa/indica cross personally.

I just got my ATA Tundra from seedsman seeds. It seems pretty ideal. It is half alaskan strain and half Kazakastan(sp) strain. It is supposed to do well in the cold. Nothing is mentioned about it being resistant to mold, which worries me. This year I grew "purple" from ceres seeds. It did good, flowered fast, finished first week of oct. and yielded about 8oz. It did start to get a little mold on it, which made me pick it a week early. I am trying new strain next year though because I felt the quality could have been a little better. I should mention that Im in Michigan

What you need is some short squat bushes.
The best strains would be indica dominant ones. afghani, kush, skunk, northern lights.
try some of these and you will get results for your area.

im in the GL region and grew some bag seed. it was some sort of kush strain, indican dominant, but still had enuff sativa in her for me to wait on harvesting until nov 5th!

didnt expect it to take this long, it was about 10-11 weeks flowering. got 6 oz dry off 1 plant, that I let grow naturally and didnt tend too much.

the entire girl survived, expect for one small bud that was withering and starting to mold, so i cut it off a couple weeks b4 harvest.

Do you pretreat with organic pesticides before and mid flower? I have had a few mold issues and they all cleared up when I started thinking preventative.

I think indicas are a little prone to mold due to their over all dense nature. If you try more sativa blends you might be more successful but also might have to find a way to speed up their maturization in order to get harvest in in time.
