Going to place an order with either herbies or the tude and wondering suggestions for autos with decent potency and yield. Please only suggest if you have grown them outdoors. I am looking into autos for outdoors since my growing season can be hit or miss when it comes harvest time there is always possibilituy of early frost in october. Also looking for a good feminised photo strain that will finish on yhe earlier side outdoors. We will be sewing the seeds outdoors after the last frost which is ussually late april. 10 plants max.

I only grow auto northern lights from herbies.
I tried bio disel the buds came out weird like calxy but not filled in at all.
but the northern lights yields nice and has some seriously frosty dank buds. The outdoor came out looking like indoor I just babyd
them all I did a 20 pack of seeds all in 3 gallon pots of roots organic soil. Ok if you have heard of it but shit is the shit ha I like it better then fox farms.
Goodluck on your grow.

Thanks ill add that to the list. I will check out the soil too. We grew in this location about 15 years ago and used soil right from the ground and our plants grew amazingly. So we were going to use promix organic soil since they sell it locally and dig out holes, fill with soil and place in the ground. These plants won't be checked on much so a good hardy strain is kind of important. I guess I should be picking up some kind of pesticide for bugs too.

I grew Outdoor Grapefruit (semi-auto) from female seeds 2 seasons ago. At 42N in NE US planted it in mid may and harvested 10th of sep - 9 oz. Also grew the indoor version before and outdoor version is just as potent or more potent with same grapefruit smell and taste. they come in 4 paks. I've grown many female seeds varieties outdoors and they always seem to outperform the other branded plants in quantity and potency. I have also been experimenting w/ making my own semi-autos by dusting photo plants w/ autoflowering pollen. Grew a couple of crosses last season and found that they start flowering 2-3 weeks before most of my regular photo-period varieties and thus finish 2-3 weeks earlier. Weed from these plants was very similar to female parent in potency perhaps a little lower yield.

Why Autos and fems? October aint too early there are plenty of strains that will finish in September look at the Canada they got plenty of good outdoor I'm sure there are some decent autos but you will find better in photo period strains cause ruderalis is like hemp very low in THC which is then crossed to something good. Also fems are not really needed to grow an all female crop I myself am doing a few runs indoors of quick outdoor girls and the top few are gonna be cloned and put outdoors I could really get well over 100 clones from 1 mom but fuck that even if it was the best it will get old so variety is key.

But I'm not too sure when it comes down to just checking up on them here and there I like to make my girls happier then pigs in shit. After all the best buds come from happy plants but I hear of a lot of guys doing it like that but that explains the not so good outdoor that comes around every year.

I wanted to use auto because they harvest early. Less chance something will happen that will result in them being found. And I don't want to waste time/money growing male plants. For this grow everything is going to be very planned out since they will all go in the ground in a matter of hours while we are "out shooting guns". These plants won't get much attention at all. We might only check only be able to check on them 3 or 4 times after getting the seeds in the ground. Thanks all I will be reading into these strains.

Yea I use them for a pre harvest like I plant them march first they take 90 days so I get a harvest in may so that helps me with funds to start all the photoperiod strains outdoor from may to oct.

Nice, what strains? What breeders? I wish I could start that early. More like april here if I'm lucky. Unless we have another year like 2011.
