Good size containers for autos...

Strain ideas or container size suggestions?

Using smart pots.

Just finished an auto in a 10g smart pot, now realizing that autos don't need that big of a space.

Thinking either 5g or 3g smart pot. Any suggestions?

- Also thinking of ordering some new auto seeds… probably from herbies, I saw an appealing afghan kush ryder. Willing to hear people out if they have a good experience with any auto strains.

Pics of the auto i finished up!

Ayy, how's it hangin rez?

Personally, I wouldn't go anything below 5gal for soil unless I was doing a SOG or SCROG with very tiny plants. I've experienced the annoyances of root bound plants firsthand and realized it's better to have extra root space than not enough. :P

I am using a 3g for my auto now. But I prefer a 5g for my photos so I do not need to water as frequently. Organic soil with top dressings and EWC teas.

Whats up everybody, and whats up on my man reemis! glad to see were all on the new site. I was disappointed, i thought roll it up was dead haha, glad to see everyones keeping on keeping. Anyway I'm using 1/2 FFOF with 40% perlite 10% vermiculite for my next go around. That plant right there ended up being a dwarf and i wasted 10g on it i feel pretty stupid. Will not make mistake again. I think I'm gonna go with 3g based on everyones advice. Prob still to either 5 or 7g for photo periods.

for my plants I rather have a little extra then not enough, when your roots overtake your soil in late flower it causes huge problems with soil PH and salt build it, learned first hand by scorching a few plants in my early days .

I think it also depends on which auto strain you are growing they aren't all the same, some may need more root space.

No one seems to understand your plants cannot get root bound if they haven't already become root bound by the 4th week into flower.
Once the plant starts to focus on growing buds and not stretching it's not like it continues to grow roots for the buds.

A plant in a smart pot and in coco is not going to get root bound in 3gal unless its 4ft tall trying to go into flower. Test it yourself, you'll thank me later.
I recommend Roots Organic Soilless Coco Coir.
