Good Veg light for small area

Hey guys I've been thinking of making a small veg room and was wondering what you'd recommend for lights.

Currently I grow everything in a 4x5x6 room from seedling through flower. 600 watt MH/HPS

I have a 3.5x3.5x3 space available for veg. I'm thinking if I can use this space properly I can probably get in another harvest or two each year.

Thoughts???

I would like to stay under $200 but would be open to spending more if

Thanks Auto, I was looking into and almost bought a 4' 8 bulb T5 (solar flare, I believe) but I don't think it will fit. I saw they had 2' T5's but hadn't really heard anything good or bad about them.

Due to the limitations of your spatial requirements it really is the best option. As long as it's just for vegging.

What are you looking to spend? I would recommend since it is a relatively small grow area to use an LED. The spectrum is outstanding, you don't have to worry about heat, and most good mid-size LED's cover a 3x3 - 4x4 area. I have a Mars Hydro Pro II 160 LED and I love it. Cover a 3x3 area and produced about the equivalent of 400W HPS. Price point is a little high in the higher 300 I believe. Other wise I would just go with a 600W DE ballast and would recommend Solis Tek adjustable electronic ballast.

I think COB lighting is over kill for that veg tent. I also think that veg tent is too small to feed your room, or maybe I dont understand how you intend to fill your room with what you get out of your tent.

In any case, T5 lighting is my vote. Much cheaper, very low heat, low maintenance. I use sun blaze, 6500k
