Has anyone seed a seedling with only 1 seed leaf ( cotyledons) Was wordering If I should keep it going or start another? Don't want to waste my time on something that's not going anywhere? Any input would be helpful.

Let it keep going - it'll most likely straighten out.
I've seen some weird stuff, and they almost always turn out OK in the end.

You can keep it if you want and it will probably straighten out. But IMO that's a bad seed. I'd start a new one. Plants with problems that early don't ever compare/compete with plants that are normal and healthy. I just got a bunk pack from substrate, the breeder is replacing the pack. Dunno if the beans got swapped or if it was just a bad batch. But I don't grow out weak seedlings.

Well, I hate to kill anything once it starts growing - and I don't like to waste anything.
Both are probably female tendencies.
It always breaks my heart to have to kill a nice healthy male, too.

I feel that. That's why my dudes are in the window sill. With my space limitations and breeding projects I have a ton of seeds and no room for week growth. Got three plants in the trash an right now plus 4-6 seedlings lol. Too many good plants to be grown and beans that exist to grow them from I don't see the point in wasting time on laggers.

Poor little things.

I don't have a lot of space either, but we're just trying to be self-sufficient.

As far as the laggers, or mutants, I like to see how they turn out anyway - kind of like the runt of the litter with puppies.
Sometimes the tiniest ones turn out to be my favorites.

When I had more space I kept more around. Now that I'm pretty limited, can't do it.

Well, apparently this forum is the only way to get in contact with Gorilla Seeds, what an unfortunate business model. I've been calling the US line for over 2 weeks with no answer and no returned messages. I've sent numerous emails explaining my situation and accompanying outrage, none of which has been responded to. I've never experienced such incredibly shitty customer service anywhere. Don't buy from these guys if you value your money or your sanity. If you do decide to buy from these asshats then by all means do not purchase their 'stealth shipping'. I received a love note from customs instead of my order and apparently have no recourse to get the seeds reshipped since nobody appears to actually work at Gorilla except for the people that collect your money. Certainly appears to be nothing but a scam, couldn't possibly be more dissatisfied. Hit me up Gorilla Seed Bank, I'd love to hear your take on this bullshit customer service. Order #145990, you'll find about a dozen emails pertaining to this order if you decide to look. Is the email guy and the phone guy out on vacation with the Facebook guy? I guess that must be the case. Buyer Beware.

I'll check it out right now.

US phone line - Gavin, who also posts here, answers our US phone line. He got behind because he moved to Alaska this past week. It took a little longer than he expected because he had major car trouble in Canada. He's been returning calls as fast as he can - if he missed you, you have my apologies.

Facebook - Steve does our Facebook page. He works mornings, UK time. I can't speak to why he didn't respond to you - as far as I know, he's not on vacation.

I'll be back shortly with a run-down of what I see.

Every time you send an email to our customer service department (either you reply to one of our emails or you use our contact screen), you should get a ticket number.

Do you have any ticket numbers so I can look up the correspondence? I searched by your order number & didn't find any emails. I also looked up your actual order & there are no notes indicating any tickets came through. If there was some problem & a ticket wasn't created, that would be why no one got back with your from our regular customer service department. You have my apologies for any system problems we may have had.

I'm going to PM you my email - what they'll want to see to replace your seeds is a clear picture of both sides of the envelope showing all the tracking numbers, customs forms, etc. plus a picture of the customs letter. If you can send me that, I'll make sure our reshipping dept takes care of it.

Maybe you gave me the wrong order number?
I've searched on the name & email address attached to 145990, nothing comes up in our ticketing system.
Can you double check please?

Gorilla, thanks for your very quick response, it's appreciated. Let me elaborate, I have received no ticket numbers or any reciprocating correspondence regarding any of my attempts to email, call, or submit the contact form via the website. This is why I'm so incredibly frustrated. I can provide you the emails I've sent the last few days, the submissions made via the website form of course I cannot provide but I'm confident are discover-able on your side of the fence.

Please let explain a bit further. Living in the same area code as the US number and not being able to contact anyone really made me angry. Trying to communicate from the website form and not getting a response was really exasperating the situation as I’m sure you’ll find in the emails I’m about to forward to you. I’m really not an asshole I’m just mad, thanks for dealing with me. I understand and can empathize with Gavin and that whole relocating situation. Honestly, if there was a message informing me of that during my attempts to call the number all of this hostility would have been averted. Gavin, you can go ahead and disregard the caustic messages I've left for you over the last few days and please enjoy Alaska and all it's beauty to the fullest.

I made an order with the gorilla. All in all everything went ok. It did make me really uncomfortable sending cash through the mail but said what the hell. I Really wanted to try there girl scout cookies so i didn't really have a choice. It took a lil over a month for the beans to arrive but they were perfect. Even had breader cases. Witch is a plus. I got 3 extra beans witch i haven't had a chance to crack yet. But so far the g.s.c. is coming along. So all in all i would definitely order again. Just make sure you order way before you need them...
