ok so ill be taking clones off my female plants and was wondering.... if i change the light cycle back into 18/6 will the mother plants be ok?? because i only have one place for all my plants and im sure that 12/12 doesnt suit clones very well but correct me if im wrong!
will the mother plants stop flowering until i put them back into 12/12 with the clones?

Let me get this right, you took clones while your mother was flowering?

Your clones will try to keep flowering if that is the case. You can try to revert them back to veg state and see how it goes..
Do you have them under a hood, what technique did you use to clone? Any hormones used? What type of light are you putting them under???

well my 3 plants which ill be taking clones off are in their 2nd week of flowering,
i have them in a shed under a 600watt hps, they were in veg for 5 weeks before flowering...
and i have a rooting gel which ill be using for the clones..
so you say i can put these 3 plants back into veg with the clones and they'll be fine?

They will try to keep on flowering. You will spend a ton of time trying to revert them back to vegetative growth. It can be done, but takes forever. Youa re supposed to clone while the plant is in vegetative. A mother plant should always be kept in vegetative growth, unless you decide to flower her and start off with a new strain, or a new mom.
IMO it is not worth the hassle....
Next time take cutting while in the veg state

but i thought you couldnt tell whether a plant was male or female until it was in flowering?
or can you tell the difference while its still in veg?

If you intend to make some moms, veg until they show pre-flowers. two tiny white hairs will show up above the nodes.... Check out the FAQ section, it tells you a good amount about it. Cheers
