Got a Skill set? how does family abuse feel.

Hey guys, i have some MAJOR fucking beef i want to let out. I am a welder/fabricator by trade. My knowledge and skill set pays me anywhere from 45-120$ per hour. i worked my ass off and broke my body to learn my trade. But recently my brother has had a child, and asked unreasonable amounts of my time to help him. for instance, putting together a ikea dresser, putting together a crib. Putting a bed together ETC ETC. This shit is so fucking simple, and the instructions make it more of a fucking joke. But yet with words on paper, my kin cannot apparently understand the word by word explaination on what to do. I was never a huge family favorite since my family was usually in management or realistate, i decided to learn the absolute basics of life, thing was none required going to school what so ever. shit just happens, they call for a 9/16 socket, you get one. but unbelieably my father has absolutely no knowledge of anything except what he can earn based off of every day happenenings. what blows my mind is how little he knows, but yet how much he earns. It makes no fucking sense to me, he offers nothing but recieves 1-30 times what an laborer that actually produces something makes.

Im angry because i am being used to build/carry shit he pays for all over his house like a fucking mule but he contributes so little to the world and gets paid so much. Something is fucking wrong. i love my father, i know he is cleaver and knowledgable but he is by no means someone i would want to know in the face of a world apocolypse.

What does your father do? Do you know how many crucially important jobs there are that don't require you actually produce something?? I have a degree in marketing and currently work in SEO... I don't produce anything but it's an important position for the company none the less. Just because you produce something and your father doesn't, doesn't make him an unimportant non-contributive member of society compared to you.

I understand this, and in fact it is a basis on which i accept. I however hate the fact being the less educated of my brother and father. asked to do retarded work that they suspect will only take 45 minutes while in reality it takes 3 hours. I never, ever put myself above my family. its quite the opposite in fact and something i detest. I would rather never have met them than accept their work load. I am going to spend a few months in Chengdu China and Japan. I am going to smuggle a few zips of hash if possible for sale. i want to meet the boys from the wan-gan circut and give them some hash. My ultimate dream is to have a C6 Corvette Z06, supercharged and stroked to 800RWHP that i can take on the Wan Gan midnight run they do. They have 400hp NSX's they push to 300km/h, where with a 800hp Vette you don't need to know the corners, only need to squeeze the throttle for about 20 seconds.

stop acting like a pissed off 15 year old kid.
and act like an uncle you should be happy to do it.

this has nothing to do with your trade
this has to do with you being an uncle and being happy to build a crib

sorry i realize thats harsh i dont think your family is using your skill set i think they want you to "build" a part of life with your new niece or nephew and youre over dramatizing it

sorry, lots of pipefitter vs welder stuff in the patch... I gotta give you welders a hard time. they (you?) make 1400$ a day FFS, and do NOTHING compared to us fitters... so yeah, I know what its like to work my ass off for little pay, while some asshole (welder) sits in his truck for 1400$ a day!!!!!

slowbus on the other hand... hes a little jealous of us types with money that can talk about the high HP toys they got/want. works at mcdicks and his 2 weeks cheques are the equivalent of the taxes we pay in 1 day LOL!!!!

dude,Its your family.You only get one and once they are gone thats it.Try to enjoy the time with them instead of treating it like a tedious chore,,,broaden your mind my friend.
