So 2 weeks ago i germ'd my Kere White Thunder (Feminized) in a RR plug, 3 days later she popped out of both top and bottom and had to transplant her into my 5 gallon hempy bucket, first week she showed no growth just some bending toward my fan. Just a few days ago she started to grow again and DAMN!! she is blowing up like no tomorrow. Attached are three pics first one is 2 days after transplant into hempy, second is from 2 days ago, third is from today (and saying sorry ahead of time for the MH being on in the third).

i really want to do the first fim on her here in the next couple days, need her to be bushy cuz im limited height wise, 63" tall tent, with an oversized reflector (hydrofarm radiant 8") and the height of the bucket and stand its on so i have room for a drainage dish thats easily removable. think her third set will be big enough to fim in the next couple days?

yeah she is young 2 weeks on sunday, so should i wait for a couple more nodes to pop before i fim? like i said im very limited height wise so i need her as bushy as a vag in the 70's lol

heres an updated pic of my girl from yesterday (her 3 week birthday) she is getting pretty bushy now just what i was hoping for. i fim'd my attempt to fim her so a couple days after i tried the fim and noticed i didnt hit it right i just topped her so the top set of leaves look a little ugly. Also had to chop the first set of true leaves as they were bending down to gather more light and started to dig into the per/verm mix and didnt want those leaves screwing up the rest of the plant.

Looking good man, love hempys:) I know your limited with height so good idea trying to top/train her. I really like to top, lst, and tie stuff down. I will also bend and pinch stems where it is strategic to do so. Usually for me topping will slow their vertical growth slightly and while it's healing from that the lower/side branches start catching up. I let it grow for a little bit and do it thing(1-2 weeks) then either bend(supercrop) or preferabbly just tie down the tallest branches. So it goes like that-let it grow a little bit, bend/tie tallest stuff down. You can top other branches too. The more you grow the more techniques you learn to give yourself a nice even canopy-half the fun of growing for me is trying to methodically train my plants to fill my 4x4 tent, with a nice even canopy. Keep up the good work.

Yeah im loving this hempy method, especially with the strain im running. I read bad reviews on it saying it was hard to grow bcuz slow growth and a tendancy to hermie, but i decided to give it a shot anyways. Even with topping her she has yet to slow down on the growth minus the time it took her to establish her roots seemed like forever lol i did have to chop off those top leaves today tho they were drying out so fast that they were tearing apart from shinking. All the new growth from topping looks amazing tho its very crowded from the tight noding lol i will probably start lst here when the 4 shoots from the second and third node grow out a bit more then again when the fourth node shoots grow out enough as well.

Basic Hempy bucket instruction (there are other methods but this is directly from hempy himself)
1. Need a bucket anywhere from 2.5 gallon to 5 gallon works well (do not want holes already cut into it)
2. Measure 2 inches up from bottom of bucket and drill one hole 3/8 to 1/2 in size (dont necessarily have to drill it can use an old drill bit and heat it up with a flame and push it though works also)
3. Figure out what you want you use for your bottom layer e.g. chunky perlite, hydroton, larger river rock, etc (anything ph neutral and large enough not to clog drain hole will work)
4. Fill bucket to about an inch or two above drain hole with your bottom layer medium
5. Hempy says mix perlite and vermiculite in a 3:1 ratio (every 3 parts perlite add 1 part vermiculite)(Also easier to work with the perlite and minimizes dust if you prewet it, mix in a seperate container)
6. Add your per/verm mix to the bucket (I like to have it about an inch below the rim incase i add water to fast it doesnt over flow, and allows me to use the rim as a tie down point for lst)
7. Water thoroughly in tub (Not part of hempys guide i like to do it to help rid of extra dust from perlite and bottom layer medium)
8. Plant rooted clone or seedling in center of mix
9. Hempy says to start feeding full strength nutes according to phase on bottle but i recommend just plain ph'd water for the first couple weeks as the cotyledons have the nutes it needs to start off with.
10. For young plants water daily to every other day depending on need (basically watch for beginning signs of under watering, i watered everyday for the fist 2 weeks) pH water to 6.3 according to Hempy I like to pH around 6
11. Once roots hit the rez you will notice an explosion of growth, by then you should be able to water every 2-3 days

Side notes from my experience:
When you do start adding nutes start with 1/4 strength of recommended on bottle for a few days to see how it reacts then bump up to 1/2 strength again watching reaction i would wait at least a week before bumping up to 3/4 and full strength.

If you decide to plant rooted clone/seedling in a larger bucket it will take some time before you notice significant growth as the roots need to establish themselves in the large container first

Find a solid object that you can place under the bucket to elevate it so you can add a easy to remove drip pan for draining runoff (Size of object depends on vertical space you have)

Most people dont check the ppm or the ph of the run off with hempy bucket as you will constantly be adding in ph'd water/feed, i check the ph occasionally but dont do anything about it as my girl seems happy as it is. for me the occasional check it to make sure nothing is happening inside that i should be worried about. As long as it stays the same number its good to go.

The only downside to this method is hand watering, but if you dont have the patience to do that you shouldnt be growing in the first place as growing is a waiting/observation game

My hempy bucket mix:
Bottom layer: 3 inches of red lava rock
Middle layer: 2 inches of hydroton (help prevent per/verm mix going down to rez)
Top layer: 8 inches of 3:1 perlite/vermiculite
