Gradual light decrease. Random thought.

What would happen if you took your veg plants and decreased light time one hour per day or two until you got to 12/12? I was thinking it would trigger flowering more naturally then the hard flip. I know some folks who go to 11/13 then to 10/14 the last two weeks in flower to finish them more. Never seen a side by side of this though. So..... That was my random thought of the day. Any ideas?

I have run identical clones both in-ground under sunlight as well as artificially flipping straight to 12.

Only difference is yield, in-ground produced 30-35% or so more.

This concept has been tested and retested and there is no advantage to doing that. Just go straight to 12/12, otherwise you're just shorting yourself hours of growing light.

Admittedly not what the plant has evolved to expect, but it didn't expect to be growing in my basement either.

I honestly wish I had a third room... One for veg. One flower. And a second flower room to do science experiments....

I can think of all kinds of naughty stuff I'd put plants though to see if it worked. While all the time running same strains in normal flower in my normal conditions to compare.
