Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone knew whats the difference between GDP, Purple Urkle, or The Purps? and I dont mean like "Kens" version of GDP either, im talkin about the TRUE GDP. I have never grown any of them except for a Purp.. Urkle cross (Deep Purple by TGA) but from all the pics i have seen of each, They all look very simular where they could all be cuts of same mother and just re-named to the 3 diff names.

Urkle is the original strain of grand daddy, grape ape & deep purple. They are all different strains, but the urkle is what makes them "purple". By purple i mean they got high potency quality, amazing grape/lavender taste & yea they tend to also turn purple in color.

"the purps" on the other hand i don't know much about, i don't think they're related and never seen any good from it.

Ken's IS true GDP, Purple Urkle is overrated. and they are three diff strains for sure. Never grown (mendo) Purps but decent smoke. Doesn't compare to GDP IMO. Also "ken's" version is the version lol. Who do you think has the clone only strain??

lol, yah, ken estee's gdp's is the real deal clone only strain that is now available in seed form.. i'm growing the fems put out be connoisuer and they're about a month or so into flower and just starting to get buds on them now..

i hear that the purps from bc bud depot is a killer strain, i own the beans of it, but haven't cracked any of them as of yet..

A friend who grew both said they are not the same, but thats just 1 source, I have not grown so I wont bash his but my friends clone looked NOTHING like the seeds he grown out of Ken's GDP. Seeds were also purchased from a very reliable seed vendor, in breeders pack.

Good luck when you crack ur Purps seeds from BC Bud Dept., Out of 6 fem, I tried 3, NONE sprouted, I will try the other 3 soon but looks like I wasted 100 bux on shit :(
