Grapefruit Diesel pale, yellowing in Super Soil Smart Pot

I have a 5' or so tall Grapefruit Diesel in a 15gal Smart Pot, filled with about 45% Super Soil, remainder with original Roots Organics. It was topped and supercropped and is wider around than the pot, probably in excess of 6' around.

It vegged in this container starting late June. It was one of the last plants in our garden to show signs of flowering.

I've plucked off more yellow leaves than expected on this plant. It's a bit pale overall and I want to address this before it's too late. Several other strains grown in the same batch and the same 15gal Smart Pots, some with smaller percentages of Super Soil, and the rest are all looking great.

Is it even possible that the Super Soil in could be spent this early?

Finicky strain in my opinion. I just ran one and had the most problems I've ever had growing a plant. Leaves started yellowing about week 5 and it all went to shit from there. I tried to repair her but she wouldn't give. I got an ounce of fluffy buds that smelled ok. I'd never run it again for sure.

Was yours hearty before that turn for the worst, Rasta? Mine is probably the biggest plant I have of that set that went outside right after the solstice. It looked very impressive until about the last week or so.

I have to admit, she did veg very nicely. Was definitely my fastest vegging plant out of the litter at that time. One thing I can say is that she doesn't like any stress whatsoever. One minor deficiency and she goes south.Definitely an indoor strain. I'm not really sure where I went wrong, the rest of my crop at the time came out ok. It's to my understanding that nextgen uses soma's NYC diesel Which is reportedly hard to grow. I'm personally not a diesel fan at all just thought I'd get a nice grapefruit pheno. Mine was full on NYC dominant with no stretch. It's definitely not a horrible strain, smelled like hash drenched in diesel. With a taste to match.Just hard to grow IMO.

I have grown grapefruit diesel from next gen from a five pack of FEMS. I got 3 females, one was the keeper super grapfruit smell with a slight fuel undertone dense lime green buds( had one 14 grams and barely longer than a lighter). It was a beast and ate so much.On the technaflora recipe for success it was loving it stronger than the suggested amounts. So as u have said you have thrown the plant into natural sunlight at 5 foot tall in a fifteen gallon pot. Based on my experience I would say transplant first if u r not flowering yet. If u r flowering already I would suggest ( if the plant is outside) to cut the bottom of your pot off and topdress with more super soil. Hope this helps
