grass shears for trimming

has anyone ever tried using like the battery or electric grass shears for trimming? results?

I can't believe somebody has not come up with a good machine for trimming. The only machine I seen on the web is slow and messy. Here is a concept, think of a reel type lawn mover, like used on golf courses. Make it 1 to 2 inch diameter, would work great. Going to have to get in the shop. Using a grass shears, I think would be kinda bulky. Probably better served with the standard scissors. Good luck.

yeah i trim by hand now and from the sounds of it thats what ill stay with i guess,i dont like the sounds of any of the trimmer's performance considering how much they cost the grass shears sound like theyd work just as good but then once again id probably be left with a less than satisfactory manicure considering how much time is put into one harvest. probably end up trimming it by hand and be pissed that i bought either one...especially the trimmer cuz it costs more but i dont think id be satisfied with the trim from either i guess is what im trying to say.
