I bought one of those handheld microscopes with a light on. Guess I'm gonna harvest based on my trichs...curious to see where I'm at. My guess is clear/milky with no amber.

Just picked up a quater of some Green Crack and I just love it. Cost me an extra 10 then I normally pay but the best 80$ I ever spent:bigjoint:

Very interesting, good grow but surprised you left all the excess leaves on it, the curly yellow ones, they shade the inner plant and prevent growth in main places of the plant, and waste needed nutrient energy being sent throughout the plant just being attacthed, but you wanted to let them grow and not bad i must say, but definatly clip some yellow talons off.

:leaf:-Good luck:leaf: :bigjoint:

Alright guys...I got some issues and I'm not sure what to do here. I think my girl are going herm on me.

The photos of the past don't show how severe the bleaching was. I think I freaked my plants out cause I have fucking seeds on my tops. Below are some photos. Some of them look like seeds but have what look like hairs inside. Others are straight up fucking male seeds with little bananas inside.

The area most affected are the tops (of course right).

I'm seven weeks into this grow and don't know why this is going down like this all of a sudden. Some got bleached worse than others. The pics below are from one of the worst ones.

I'm afraid of letting them go the additional week they need. Some of the nugs look so awesome.

Anyway, onto the damage.

See in the middle of the nug.

A soft shelled seed...

This has what looks like hairs but others have the signs of male seeds.

I thought these calyxes were going to burst open in this final week or two and give me that last chunk of weight.

What to do...

Some of the nugs look pretty close to done.

I'm so close I'm tempted to just that. I sent Fdd a pm and he said many strains produce seeds late in flower. but I've got more than a few. It appears to be on just the top of the tops.

In a week or so how bad can they pollinate is what I'm wondering. Also, do mature amber hairs accept pollen like a young white virgin hair?

My ph has been steady. 5.5 to 6. It would have hermed a long time ago because I've phing the same for the whole grow. I'm thinking it's a strain issue or the bleaching pissed them off. The herb really looks fine. It's just the top of the tops...

A little bummed though. This is my first indoor grow and other than the bleaching all was ok. This has me wanting to pour another one... ;)

bleaching or leaching,oh so you must of added too much h202.yeh,that would stress them out,no they wont produce fully mature seeds at that age.The seeds would be hollow and green.I'm just saying that, cause they looked scorched,I was thinking ph,or too much nutes.

Ph is fine. PPM is 800-900. I think I just had my lights too low. I chatted with a few guys with 1000w bulbs and they all experienced bleaching if you get too close.

Well I guess I'll ride this out.

Dont see them getting to stressed int his good of a enviroment. Outside plants have worse stress(hot, cold, wind, humidity ext changes everday stressing the plants everyday..

Dude, I've been struggling with the same sort of crap myself. Fuckin sucks. I used Dutch Master's Reverse product and as of now, Im seeing postive results for MOST of the plants that have been struggling with this- except for 1 or 2. It seems they did not "take" to the spraying, or other environmental matters. I've learned the early signs of slightly seeded bud (unfortunately recently) and have been doing some research. I'm a little bit worried about what happens in the second half of flowering is they continue to get "too much nitrogen". Whatever that means. I called GH and asked them why they eliminate the use of Diamond Nectar (a fulvic acid that breaks down the nutrient into more soluble elments fot the plant roots) during the flowering stage and all I got in response was:

"I can't tell you exactly what's in it, the same as Coca-Cola can't tell what is theirs."

I don't know exactly why I'm thinking this other tha intuition, but I'd be willing to bet that too much nitrogen and too much fulvic acid during flowering will unfortuanly perpetuate the male/hermie tendencies. Someone please tell Im full of shit here. :-(

My nutes are not that high in N and with a PPM of 800-900 I don't think I'm over feeding.

I think I might be able to cut off the top of the tops and let all this finish. I pulled a pop corn nug just to make sure I'm looking at the trichs right and they are all def clear. I'm sure I have over a week to go.

Some stuff looks crazy good though. No herm and super sticky. If I can keep 75% of this harvest I'll be stoked. The herm stuff will still get smoked if it can clean up well. If not I'll do some hash or cook it up. I love edibles.

This is my second grow...my first indoors. My outdoor looked great until late season when the SoCal humidity got them and mold kicked in. Two different strains so I don't think it was the strain. It's a bummer to have two grows in a row go so well for so long then have them turn.

This could just be a strain issue. I've been bitching all along how week this plant is. It's been growing fast but is not very resistant. I got buddies 6" from 1000w bulbs with no problems. They feed up to 1500ppm with RO water so it's a really strong nute mix. I get bleaching 18" from the canopy and anything over 1000ppm wigs these guys out.

Who knows. It's here and I'll deal with it.

Next grow will be a shorter strains and veg to hopefully eliminate the bleaching and have some more durable plants. This grape kush mom in my veg set up is growing very well.
