Greenhouse build

Greenhouses! I'm trying to figure out how to build one, and with what materials.
I've been doing some research trying to figure out what to build Greenhouse wise, So far I am going with PVC, and I'm trying to figure the plastic or film? is Plexiglass good? the green house is going to be about 12ft x 20ft and about 10-15feet high. if I do use PVC pipe for a frame I'd like to turn the frame into an Aero fog system is this possible? would Rebar work better frame wise? this will be on a concrete pad. this is my project for this month I don't know much about greenhouses but I do know it can't be to hard:eyesmoke:

They probably wouldn't warp enough to matter. If you were worried about it... you could buy the treated 2x4's. I wouldn't use plexi glass, I don't think it would be cost effective.

alright, I'm not very afraid of warping. I'm looking at this at the moment http://www.agriculturesolutions.com/Sun-Selector-Greenhouse-Plastic/View-all-products.html and I'll probably go with the first sun selector UVA clear greenhouse Film, by the foot.
wood is always expanding and contracting. WE build houses with lumber, and so far in time since we have been doing so has proved to be a suitable material for construction. If the wood will be in contact with the ground def go pressure treated but other than that you should be good to go with some regular lumber.

you need to check out doublejj 's thread about carport greenhouse. this is got to be the easiest green house ever to build.

I'll make it easy, get a costco or walmart carport 10x20 then cover the top with clear visqueen and the sides with a 30% shade cloth. the shade cloth really doesn't block that much light but it does allow excellent air circulation and controls the heat. you could also just do the ends in cloth if your temps dont get to high, or maybe add a fan if you got power.

I built a pvc pipe greenhouse. It is going on 3 years and still going good.

Couple tips though.
Use 2 x 6 for base.
Use 1" pvc pipe.
Run your pvc rafters to the inside of the base.
This allows you to use wiggle wires to attach your plastic to the base.
Build your endwalls out of 2x4. Frame in a operable window in both endwalls.
No need to cover endwalls with plastic, but I would use some type of polycarbonate.
Double cover with good greenhouse plastic and use a small fan to inflate the too layers.
These can get extremely hot in a quick hurry, have ventalation prepared ahead of time.

I used recycled lumber for mine.
Total cost w/o plastic about 120 dollars.
Good greenhouse plastic is not cheap, I spent 400 dollars on a roll that I will be able to get two coverings out of.

alright well I'm most likely going to go with PVC depending on the prices, $120 isn't much and it seems like a worthwhile investment.
I'll be looking up Doublejj's car port greenhouse that sounds interesting
