I probably would if they were verified old packs of something interesting.

IE: Pre 96 Sensi Star. Bros Grim P91, C99, C88, A13, A11 etc.
I guess, still steep considering the reduced likelihood of such old seeds successfully popping. But the fact that they are selling 10 packs of an F1 for over $700 is crazysauce.

Yeah man, the strain I linked is Sold Out. Presumably there are people out there who really think that more expensive = better, so they just look for the most expensive thing and buy it no matter what it is. Just a buncha suckers out there buying up Veblen goods.

Just like with anything in life, you have those who believe that paying more gives them an increase in length / girth.

If stored correctly the popping chances are pretty high and can be raised with some hormones. Of course most folks don't store seeds properly. Still, with some coaxing they can be popped with enough success to be worth it IMO. If you get a winning plant from any of those lines you will easily make up the cost at the end of the day and those lines produced a lot of winners.

True. And even improperly stored seeds can still pop with the right treatment. A friend of mine missed a male and it seeded his entire GDP grow back around '06, he gave me a ziploc bag full of seeds (This was before I started growing) and even now, with a bit of scarification, and a little hydrogen peroxide, I can still get some of the more robust seeds to pop, but by and large most of them (Probably 90%+) are totally dead because I had no idea how to properly store seeds at the time hahaha.
