Greetings from India > very 1st grow

hello! after reading so much in the forums, i waited for about 6 months to get to this stage, to let u all know that finally, i have a girl growing on my terrace garden .

this also happens to be my first ever post here so let me introduce myself . Im from a city called Hyderabad, on the 'Deccan Plateau' , southern India. this plant started growing 2 months ago, when in was the rainy season here..it started flowering very early, when the plant was about 12" tall. I topped the plant on the main stem after reading that the plant will become bushy from the bottom.. It gets full sun for about 6-7 hrs a day (temp usually between 26deg-35deg celcius) and then shade... in the night there's moon light whenever...the soil its growing in is Red Soil, mixed with some lcally available garden Urea..

I have no clue what strain this plant is, because here in India there's so many different strains .. hindu kush etc., in the north.. >> and here on the plateau, the Nizams from Persia lived and ruled for about 500yrs so you will find a lot of sufi muslims and other sunni muslims sitting in dargahs and smoking chillums singing songs everyday...so it is possible that the strains could be middle eastern to.. not too far south from were i live is Kerala, where 'Iduki Gold' is grown...so pls tell me if you can make out what strain it is.. the guy i score from;his family and past generations has been into cultivating ganja for over 100yrs and his farm has plants that are 7-8 ft tall...his buds have a very strong smell of a Tangy Mango like aroma...the smoke is very smooth and the high is giggly and we get very very stoned.

The plant is about 2 months old and the Buds are a week old. i took the photos in the early morning sun. i added some locally available 'rose mix' for flowering plants...i use tap water,,,whe i rub my fingers on the stem my fingers become lil sticky and smells like eucalyptus and clove mixed its heavenly. i WANT this girl to have fat buds. this is the only plant around, i uprooted a male 2 weeks ago the day i saw male pre-flowers .. so this should be a seedless yield. the leaves are in dark green colour but all tops are in light green colour...is this normal or??

Pls let me knw if you want me to continue posting updates on this girl.

Om Namah Shivaya

yeah nice grow photos man... southern india is a beautiful place!!! keep up the grow... cant wait to see her bursting with bud!

day30 of flowering:

Hello all, there are a few things im worried about[/I:wall:]: the WHITE pistils, some of them are turning brown already at the tips > some completely. there's no water problem coz i water it twice a day..its been raining here for the last 2 days..the red soil tends to get compressed and packed when dry, so i make it a point to keep the soil loose everyday carefully without damaging roots.. the pistils on the buds on the plant tops are not turning brown though..its just the buds in the middle, some on the small stems.

i saw a couple of spider webs on the tops so i cleaned them off > chased 2 spiders down and killed them..some weird bugs are also seen sometimes but i kill them when i see them.. i dont want to use any chemical pesticides because the plant has an aroma already and i think pestcides at this stage will settle on the buds and stay..what do you guys think? so i asked my granny and she told me to sprinkle 'turmeric' powder mixed with water, it is apparently an ancient way to keep bugs and pests away from all sorts of crops..i did that yesterday, so ill wait and see.

and another thing >
cant wait to see her bursting with bud!
there's this ONE big bud on one of the bottom most stems..its quite huge compared to the rest of the buds on the plant (its pistils red)...Just one Bud that big.....this is the only plant i have and its a female, so ther's no chance of pollination and its not a seed inside > is this normal/. will all my buds grow to that size eventually? or is it abnormal?!:leaf:

Pls advice.

its fine, your doing a good job.. i would be carefull in your "rainy season" as alot of moisture can cause mold, wrecking your harvest..

no chance of pollination yet.. it takes 3-5 weeks for seeds to mature after pollination...

i hope this helped..

the rains should stop in october, and then its going to be winter > but the day temperatures will remain 25 -35deg celcius.. the plant wont be ready for harvest until november im guessing...if it doesnt stop raining soon, ill keep the plant under shade
