griders and joint rollers.

Its easy, the way I learned (back in the day), get 2 packs of papers, an oz of bud, and just go to town. Get some good tunes, though, because it gets frustrating at first. Haha. You will eventually get better and you'll be able to roll a nice fat cone in about 30 seconds.

Yup! I relied on a roller or my wife to roll up for me bcuz I would get fricken frustrated as hell. shit goin everywhere and ripped paper n shit.Lol! But it just took a little patience. I can roll up anywhere now these days, rain, sleet and snow. I havent tried underwater yet though. Keep at it!

Also, blunts are easier. I learned how to roll a blunt way before I was successfully able to roll a fatass doob.

I honestly still cant roll a HUGE hog log. As in using the whole paper and barely getting the glue or in some cases the non-glue side to meet its assend. Now a blunt, pft bring it on... :D :leaf:

This is like the one i got, but its real steel handle and takes three double a's... http://www.amazon.com/OFFERING-SHIPPING-Electric-Aluminum-BATTERIES/dp/B000P15LX0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1345763393&sr=8-3&keywords=electric+herb+grinder

IMO, grinders have their place. All the talk about raping weed and whatnot is lost on me because i lose very little weed/kief using my grinder. And when the rubber meets the road, waste not want not is how i was raised. It doesn't all make it into the joint but the kief makes a nice topper for special occasions.

As for the roller? They have their place as well. Like when rolling a TON of joints for a get-together and for stealth (because idc HOW good a hand-roller you are, most cops can tell the difference, TRUST ME). They are a learned art. You CAN roll loosely. You just gotta load loosely, roll it minimally, and light up.

i have rollers and have used them MANY times. A hint for those too tight joints is to straighten a paperclip or use a similar size wire and run it right through the center *you'll NEVER get it perfect, just don't rip your paper*. Pack that thing TIGHT (i've broken a couple packing too tightly lol) and roll away. Make it a hard stick. You can't even draw anything through it. THEN skewer it with your paperclip. ALL the way through. Getting it lit can be a little hard but once it is, you are smoking for a LONG time. It doesn't hit REAL easy, more like a cigar. But it burns forever, you get just as medicated if you draw smoke into your mouth like a cigar and then inhale, it makes a GREAT circle toke joint imo. Gives plenty of time for discussion :) Again, it's not for everyone but my friends and i have enjoyed them while sitting around a campfire many times. i've used the extra long rollers and trimmed wraps to roll blunts like this as well. They DO have their place IMO.

That being said, i haven't used my rollers in quite awhile. However, my 20th HS reunion is this Saturday and i was planning on just rolling joints by hand and taking cookies and brownies (since my oil spoon and torch wouldn't fly over too well i don't think. Those will be reserved for the private "after" party ;) ) BUT, since i've now been reminded of them, i just might bust the rollers out and take a walk on the course with a few friends (being held at a local golf course) :)

But you could learn a thing or two about rollers! That is, if you are ignorant of them or have had bad luck with them.

Then again, maybe you just don't like them or are stoned? ;)

i get that way sometimes too :)

It was a stoned ramble lol.

grinders to me are absolutely essential for rolling proper joints. to get that uniform of a grind by hand would take a half hour and the best part of the herb would be stuck to my fingers.

joint rollers, on the other hand, are like pre-fab townhouses. they're fine if you don't care about details and just want to hurry up and get it over with, but if you have the skill, you're going to build your own damn house and no prefab condo will ever come close.

i roll joints by hand that not only look like tobacco cigarettes (if i want them to), but they smoke the same and ash the same. i adjust my rolling to match the texture of the herb. moist herb gets rolled one way, dryer herb gets rolled another. the paper matters. the skill matters. whether or not a tip is used matters. the mouthpeice matters. joint rollers are a one size fits all crutch for people who haven't learned how to roll properly. jmo. how would i even use a tip in one of those things?

i dug through the uploader to find some pics of joints i rolled. these were rush jobs just to snap a pic, and the second one is a little homely but my point stands. literally takes less than 20 seconds. if i wanted to get fancy with it i would, but to have someone proclaim that i should be using one of those silly contraptions rustled my jimmies a bit, not going to lie. i've been rolling joints for close to 20 years and the notion that i should be using training wheels is offensive to me.
