ok so heres the full story up until here. the grow space is 2.5' x 3.5'and 8' tall. im growing in soil. happy frog with some perlite thrown in. they are 6 wks old. 3 gallon pots. and are currently under a 400 watt MH. approx 3' away from the tops of the plants. they are however around 17" tall. i have a nice wall mounting fan that ossilates. Im not sure why its so hot in there but the temps read around 100 or so when lights on. 80s when off or lower.. using fox farm big grow every couple waterings. and a tablespoon of bat guano. tonight was the second time using the guano thus far. i have used the fox farm about 3 times now. haven't been feeding but for a bout a week. do you think this will take care of the yellowing and dieing leaves? also anyone know what i could do about temps. or co2? heres a couple pics...:joint: :peace: :joint:

Looks like there is slight nute burn with the edges yellowing and getting crispy.

Not sure what amounts you're feeding but I'd back off a bit on the nute strength. Other than that the plants look ok.

And as suggested...running your lights at night may help with the temps. But it really sounds like you need better ventilation. But you gottas do what you gotta do.

Good luck.

well i believe the plants are getting overfeed. just feed with watering last night and the bottom leaves turned more yellow and started dying. the water was working alot better without the food. should i flush it even though i waterd last night?? here is what they look like after last night..... HELP PLEASE!!!

Flush....I'd flush with water until I saw the runoff become clear. Then feed at 1/4 strength after a few days....

Feeding shouldnt be done every watering....Your plants look nice and green (not asking for Nitrogen). No need to go so heavy on the feeding. If the plants begin to get pale...You know all the N has been flushed from the soil.

If that happens....start upping the N from 1/4 to 1/2 strength. Always work your way up.

Less is more.

BSI is right. less is always more. its alot harder to fix an overfed plant than an underfed plant IMO. what kinda ventilation system do you have venting the closet?

the only thing i have venting the closet is a 16" wall mounting fan. nothing to extract really. there is an inch gap at the bottom of the floor. but other then that and cracking the door. thats about all the venting system i have. i don't have any co2 system either. i flushed them about an hour ago. didn't have a whole lot of water but each plant got a gallon ran threw it.
i need constructive criticism please!!!

i highly suggest getting an exhaust system, that will solve your heat and co2 problems. plants need fresh air, they will ehaust all the co2 in a room very quickly if the air isnt changed every 5 minutes at least.

Hey man. I recently had the same problem. I ended up putting a six inch gap in the door, behind the fan, to let air in, and I let cool air in from outside. Not the best environment for myself, but I dropped it down 15 degrees so that a box fan is doing the trick. Theres no real trick but getting some air in there. As for CO2, there are lots of tricks about using a little yeast and a couple cups of sugar in a bottle. yeast ferments, and co2 in released. I've read that high co2 levels allows higher grow room temperature, so if you can introduce co2 and drop the temp to the 90s, you should be gravy. Ive even heard of people using dry ice in a cooler with the lid cracked for co2. Good luck, hope you find some answers.
