Do any of you guys think if you took a larger "mini fridge" and put a 250 hps in with one hole for fresh air IN,

AND

without disabling the fridge compressor itself and have a seperate thermostat plugged into the power of the fridge.

So That if the heat came high the fridge would work harder to cool on the set temp?

I know that the fridge would probably always be kicking on since the heat would be little higher and thats where my friend and i disagreed at, i thought it could work just that it be a pain hearing that thing on all day.
I told him he is better off just getting a cooltube 400w hps and shouldn't have that much trouble with heat

What do you think?

Depends on the size of this mini fridge. Most mini-fridges only get to 4.9 ft^3 and I don't believe that it could accommodate an HPS light system. Maybe the bulb, but not a reflector and exhaust.

Most modern fridges stay at least below 60 F, so I'd say you'd be better off dismantling the compressor and splicing the cable into the shell than relying on freeze drying your crop.

Hit me up with some questions/pics of the fridge in question and I'd glad to work wit ya on it!
