Hey FT.....I admire all of the work/PASSION you've displayed in keeping us all up to date on your grow. I don't think I could do that myself so a tip of the hat to you! Just wanted to say I've got a Kush and a NL growing. They're both right at the point in their lives as your little Beauty. This is the first truly "successful" grow on my part. I was hoping for your, or others, thoughts on my "plan". I don't have any decent pics to post, but your plant could be mine.....What I mean is that both of mine are at the same stage as yours. I figured I would give my ladies one final round of nutes tomorrow and then just water for the duration. I'm thinking 3 more weeks of flowering and they should be ready. Sound good? I know it's difficult to know without pictures, but I borrowed my camera to a friend and I'm afraid I'll never see it again

Hey Everyone,

I'm sorry I've missed so much time, and so many updates... Things outside in the real world have been quite the rollercoaster for the past few weeks. Not to mention my Internet and PC AND camera were all acting up on me. So needless to say its been rather "rough".. Anyway I've managed to get it all sorted out and I have a few pics from a couple days back and then some more from today... Since I can only upload 2 at a time its going to take me a while.. but I do promise it'll be up sometime in the next hr or two...Shes looking great in the bud catagory but the leaves are starting to yellow out and yellow around the edges.. you'll see in the pics... So i'm planning a bit of an earlier harvest.. but we'll leave that for the update.. Thanks for the kind words of those who've messaged while I was gone !!

Update 10/11

Well everyone its been quite a while since I've done a proper update. I don't really want/need to get into details but shits been rather crazy and tough the past few months and it all caught up in the last few weeks. So I've done my best to continue to take care of TH, and not neglect her as much as I knew it could be possible whilst everything was going on. I watered her when needed and did some minor pruning. The only thing i completely neglected was my Journal.. Not the biggest of deals as the info I need about age and what not are all still there. So, TH has definitely plumped up quite nicely in the bud department even the very bottom bud is looking like something I'm proud of, most certainly for my first full grow. Now, the leaves on the other hand.. not so good... the bottom one or two are completely yellowed out.. I understand its usually a N def problem which at this point is actually not a bad thing. However there are some other leaves higher up that are yellowing from the outside in, its rather odd I'm sure its another deficiency but at this point in the growth cycle I'm not too sure if its ok to leave or bother fixing. Starting next watering which I believe will be tomorrow or the next day, I'm going to begin flushing with plain distilled water.. I was going to add superthrive, but I don't know if that will effect my final "taste" and I'd rather not risk it.. so I'm going plain ol distilled flush. I think I'll go about that for at least a week if not two, and then I think we're talking Chop Chop time. It might be a slight bit premature, but I'd rather that then have all the fan leaves die off and other bad things happen. I don't want it to snowball into hell at this point as things have gone so beautifully. Anyway I'm uploading a few pictures from Oct.8th of her and then the rest will be from today. The ones without the flash are a quite a bit harder to see the crystal formation and possibly "hair" colour, but they're good to see the general size of the buds. I've also taken quite a few with the flash on, and well they speak for themselves. Shes going to be a great smoke I think, just so long as I keep with the TLC from here on out. Anyway that's about all the talking I can do as I have to keep uploading these damn pics 2 at a freaking time, IT'S KILLING ME !!


Oh that reminds me there is one piece of bad news I forgot to mention...
TH2, didn't make it... I think I under watered her whilst everything was happening and well she didn't make it.. So no mommy plant for FT, and that just means I have to start over with Seeds and do the dance of fate yet again, this time I'll be planting more seeds in hopes for more girls and will take more clones to further my hope for a mother cause. That is unless of any of you fine folks that reside near me would like to donate a clone that'd be fantastic.. Keep it in mind lol.. Anyway here are the pics as promised !!

Sorry, something is seriously wrong with my reply box here and its making this really fucking tough and frustrating to no end... The following, if I can get it to work properly are all pictures I've taken not an hr ago today. I tried to take a pic with a flash and no flash of most but not of everything as again uploading and now this posting is a real pain in the ass. A true test of my patience, I'm wondering if my net connection is just screwy again. Anyway I should work fast to complete this. Here are the pics... I'm trying to work my way up the plant... but its proving a bit difficult...

The last 2 pictures are of the buds just below the Top Cola... And then the 2nd is a width shot of the top cola using my fingers the same as above for the height. The Cola is about the same Tall and it is Wide.. Its not a baseball bat by any means as I've seen many time with CFL and HPS, HOWEVER.. for my first complete grow.. I'm very content with what I've got here so far... She still has a week or two before I make the cut..



By the way my fingers are about "mid cola"..

That's about it for me and for now... I can't promise a daily update every morning anymore.. but I will certainly do my best to keep everyone updated at the least every few days no more than 3, through-out the rest of the entire process, including harvest,prune,hang dry, smoke a test, and cure...

Hey Tdot! I know what you mean about life "getting in the way" of life.....? I'm still waiting to hear from Social Security about my application. It's been 7 months now. I'm an example of America's wonderful care for its citizens, their health and welfare. (I just hit the bong and it's making me get more pissed off about my country and I'm probably not making much sense). Sorry 'bout my rantings everyone. Back to the leaves. I've got a buddy who used to grow some great weed back in the day. He's been keeping an eye on my grow and giving me advice and criticism. More criticism than advice. Anyway, he told me to pinch off the (water) leaves when they start to yellow. When a leaf starts yellowing, it means it's done its job. He told me to pinch them off at the base of the leaf. It's not of any further use and it's blocking light by remaining on the plant. IDK. It makes sense to me, but I'm still pretty much a newbie If I'm wrong, someone please let me know....I don't want to hurt my ladies at this stage of their growth. Again, I'm sorry for my personal rant on your thread, Tdot. I hope I didn't screw up anybody's buzz. Enjoy the weekend!!

im not to sure about that, it would be awsome if peeps would pitch in what they know. Yellowing from what i was told = Chlorosis- or nitrogen defiency. since your usually mostly feeding potash adn phos. during the blooming stage then this would explain it. but if the leave is still working with the other two elements and is yellow because of lack of nitrogen then i would still leave them.

i would leave them- they do more good than harm, now if your all cfl then you might need every bit of light and you might want to remove it, but if your hps then the leaf should not make a huge difference if left their.

Thanks goblin! I've been feeding my plants with Fox Farm nutes, Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom...so they're still getting some nitrogen. But you've got me thinking that it might be best to let them just fall off...or pull when they're about to. I don't want to do anything to affect the final outcome.

10/13 UpDAtE !!

Goooood Morning Everyone !!

I hope everyone's had a great weekend and to my fellow Canadians HAPPY TURKEY DAY !!! On to the matter at hand.. Today, well earlier this morning I gave TH her first slightly larger than normal sized watering however it was just pure Distilled Water.. NOTHING ELSE, not even SuperThrive. I believe she is within a week or two of being cut down and so I'd like to start my flush out now. Instead of a few Massive Flushes.. I'll continue to water her every 2 - 3 days as per usual but with just the dH20. So far pretty much all of the lower fan leaves have fallen off or been trimmed up by me. The remaining few towards the middle and top of the plant are definatly on they're way out as well. I'd pull them now... but I'm pretty sure the plant still needs them to take in some energy whist putting size on to the buds. All growth has stopped OTHER than the buds fattening up, ESPECIALLY the Top Cola.. WHO-HA, shes getting large. My yeild I'm guessing will be rather poor in the over all scheme. However, for the amount of lights used and the fact I only used 2 seeds...I'm pretty fuckin happy with whatever I get. I'm only sadened about the loss of a clone so no mommy plant. Just means I get to play the waiting/guesing game ALL OVER AGAIN.. I think I'm going to incorperate more transplants this time thus allowing me to start with more plants and weed then out as males show up. I'm lucky to have a friend who's going to help me out with some nice strains in the near future. So even though I'm far from done this journal.. Expect more BIGGER things from me in the coming future !!!!

Great grow journal mate,i just read all 74 pages of this thread and made me all the more excited yet i have a long way to go. this is where my cfl by night and sunlight by day bagseed sativa is at taken today i hope i end up with a resault like yours FT, congrats again mann.
