Hey

I a looking to upgrade my light for my 2x4 tent. I was looking to spend about 400$cad so after a big hunt I was considering the mars hydro (sp 250 and tsl 2000)

dose anyone have experience with these lights.

I looked into china qb and for the equivalent to the mars hydro i was paying about the same not including the costumes. (the shipping is more than the light in most cases)

I know mars has a bad rep but seems like these lights are leeps and bounds beyond there older products.

They seem very available so I was hoping some of you had used them.

or at least which one you would choose between the two.

The pic is a Jack Here thats two days from chop. My hope is a new better light will increase the girth a bit. Was using 2x100 watt cob crees

hello, which light do you have in there currently? your flowers look nice!

out of the two lights you listed I'd go for the sp250 personally. you dont need more than 250 watts in a 2x4 and the build quality looks a lot better than the tsl. i have used other mars lights but none of the new ones.

what i would recommend tho is saving a bit more for a real HLG or DIY HLG.

Yeah I wish i could drop some more cash. if so i think i would jump on this light https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Meijiu-FOTOPS-Samsung-lm301b-660nm-mix_62020898466.html?spm=a2700.galleryofferlist.normalList.1.7d8c18c2CjOhYg

that company has great reviews but the 220$ usd light come to 340$usd with shipping and that dose not include customs so will be closer to 400$usd but i dont see me spending more than 500-700$ cad for a 2x4 tent

Right now i have 2 of these https://growindo.com/collections/indo-lights/products/cob-led-grow-light-400w-cree-full-spectrum-50w-actual-draw-x-2-cob-lamps

and one https://www.amazon.ca/Spectrum-1000W,High-Thermometer-Humidity-Adjustable/dp/B07HHVJTQL

I will still be using this set up but i have another 2x4 that needs a light.

personally id stick with that youve got until you can afford the fotops or ideally

but the sp250 probably would be an improvement

Dude, if you are a handy person just go diy. You would get a much better fixture in the end. This is my rig. 450w. Very basic design with mixed spectrum over 4x4.

But if you prefer to go with something else i heard good things about qbs and used blurples for a while. Quality blurples produce dank and so does qbs but i’d guess qbs would perform better.

If you are wanting to save some money, but still want a great light, consider version 1 quantum boards. 285 true watts for $279.

These are the very best lights, but still very, very good.

Or you could get version 2 boards which are a little bit more efficient for $330.
