has anyone ever used those jiffy peat pots, the kind you soak in water and they swell up.I found some that are 4'' and will fit the net pot perfect.they came in a jiffy transplant kit,in the kit they call them instant soil.will these work in my rdwc?or will they cause my stems to rot from being to wet,or any other problems they might cause. thanks

They will break down and drop dirt into the reservoir after some time just use a 1" rockwool cube and place into your net pot surrounded by hydrotron rocks. You can watch the root pop out of the rockwool then place into pot and adjust water slowly down as roots develop.

I tried it and it about 3 years ago it made a mess... I try and keep things very clean and the 1" rockwool has never given me problems so I've stayed with it.
