Spare Bedroom 10' x 8.5' w/ 2' x 4' closet
Spare closet 5 x 5 (Roughly) But it only has a light, no plug ins so if i were to use it for a mother room/clones i would have to use extension cords.
Living in canada where its -20 to -45 during the winter.
Since i have just started growing i dont know how bad the smell from one plant in flower is. Right now i am thinking that building a 7 x 5 tent is my best bet for the spare bedroom. Gives me better control for the light and odors coming off them. Would 10-15 plants fit in a 7 x 5 room doing SoG style of grow (more or less). planning on T5's for vegging and a 600-1000W HPS for flowering
Venting of air. Living in a apartment i have to keep the odor levels as low as possible. Using a tent ill make a negative air pressure and out of a carbon filter but i dont know where to put the exhaust. I live on the second floor and i think if i have a exhaust hole putting out hot air (turning to steam during winter) would be pretty damn obvious since there is not washer/dryer hook ups in the apartment. So i was thinking what if i vented it outside the tent but then i have problems of the room getting very hot and the tent's temperatures shooting up. So how can i vent my little problem?
Onwards to my small grow im doing for fun its about three weeks in. I have some of what i think are lowryder diesel. I have them under CFL's for 9 hours and then take them out to the patio where they get some great sunlight for about 9 hours. The smallest one was actually the biggest one at the start (had three but wind blew it over and the seed has been lost somewhere below on the ground). They started out with what i thought was nitrogen deficiency so i put some used coffee grounds around the stem and it solved that. Their water is straight from the fish tank (last cleaned three+ months ago with just regular water, no additives) and it seems to be doing very well. Soil is from a random planter we had and its a bit dense so when i transplant them into bigger pots ill throw something better in.
