I know that im such a noob, please bare with me! I tried reading the stickied lighting thread, but i did not pick up an answer to the question i need help with! I know this has probably been asked a million times, but im such a rookie and need help! What kind of light do i need to grow 10-15 plants? I have been reading the threads, and the lights you guys use, so im pretty familiar with the options, but i would like to know the best type of lighting for this situation! 10-15 plants with adequate lighting, to get great healthy plants with nice yeilds! I also plan on having any space i use lined with mylar! :leaf: :leaf: :leaf:

10-15 plants THE BEST would be to get a 400 Watt Hps/Mh setup If you try and do a Cfl grow with 10-15 plants your looking to get 20+ individual lights and 10 Y Adaptors and all the other BS and for a simple 10-15 plants I would say a 400 or a 600 watt Hps/Mh system. 150-250 bucks total on Ebay

what he said ^^^^^^^]

if you have the space go 600.

metal halide for the veg growth

then when you want to flower go High pressure sodium (HPS)

if you can get a light that takes both kinds of bulb.

The size of your grow space is probably the most important factor when choosing a light. You didn't provide that information.

In My opinion 15 plants grown vertically would need at least two 600 HPS lamps to get good results. I use 1000w on a light rail for eight and I feel that's not enough.

One thing I have found out is Its all about using the light efficiently.

Look into SCROG its where you grow the plants sideways and the buds up.
You can take much better advantage of what ever you light choose.

Stadium grow into a screen or SCROG. two 600w HPS and you would have the best results.

I use a 400w inside a cabinet that's 36 inches wide.

10-15 plants is a lot but if you have the room then yesh. Also don't fuck around go right for 1000 watt because you will get better results and its a pain any other way to have to move your plants around so they all get equal amounts of light. I have a 400 and there is no way i could do 10 plants! 8 at the most! 600 would work, but definitly 1000 watt mh/hps bulb!
