Grow room question

Will the size of my exhaust fan be enough to keep temps at normal levels alone? Or will I have to invest in an ac system of some sort?
Planning on having a passive intake.

Specs:
6 Inch Centrifugal Fan - 440 cfm
6 Inch Carbon Filter
600 watt mh/hps with bat reflector.
4x4x6.5 grow tent

EDIT: I all ready bought my fan : ( I'm thinking about going with a air cooled hood instead. This one - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/150805604747?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649. With that should everything be all good in el hood ( Keep temps at around 75)?

i have 280 in and 500 out but my out take is attached to a cooled hood and then my filter ( with a bunch of bends in it) you should be fine with 280 in and 300 out without a cooled hood ,peace

The exhaust should work well for you.
Harder to control in the dead of summer.

I run my lights at night to avoid overheating...
and even with the vented hoods and evac I have temp problems sometimes.
but I grow in closets....

is your grow open room? or enclosed?

I highly recommend enclosures for all HID lighting.
It makes it a whole lot easier to evac the hot air while exchanging it with cool air.

So all good in el hood?
I live in Tasmania, Australia. It's permanent winter here pretty much :P and I will be running it at night due to insane power prices in Australia (18c-29c kWh)

??? It will be in a grow tent in a room?

well, your geography should help you a lot...
and I'm a huge fan if having day at night, simply for power consumption and temp reasons...
It's almost insane not to!!

inside a tent I would highly suggest an enclosure for the light...
they are kind of expensive...but worth it!

alternatively... if you know anyone that bends sheet metal....
it's easy enough to work up some dimensions and have them bend you an enclosure...
cut a couple of holes for exhaust and electrical and plexiglass to barrier....

Is it a must? Or can I used a batwing with my sized fan instead?

If it were me,I'd buy an 8" inline as my exhuast fan and run it on a speed controller. The 6" will do,but remember by attaching a filter you'll be cutting down the airflow of said fan.It would work but I like overkill for ventilation because worse comes to worse you can always set it full speed or slow it down.

I have that set up with two tents, a 1000w (has filter) and 600w passive.

6" can fan keeps the temps within 6 degrees of the passive air intake here in the bay area.:bigjoint:
