Grow room setup input

I've got a 17.25 sq ft space (2.5ftW x 6.9ft L). I set up a 1000w hps and a 250w hps with 2 exhaust fans and a squirrel bringing in fresh air. Is this to much wattage per sq foot? I've read between 50-100 watts per sq ft if using HID.
I plan to grow 4 under the 1k and 4 autos under the 250k. Am I going to just be over crowding this room?
Would anyone suggest cutting down to just the 1k?
I've got nothing growing under this setup yet until I get my conditions right:mrgreen:appreciate any feedback.

how are you going to do a 12/12 and 18/6 light schedule in the same area?

i've never used one but that 1k on a light mover might help you cover the area abit better since it's so narrow.

I would have gone with 3 400 or 315w CMH. Each over a roughly 2x2. No wasted light nor excess heat and light even across entire room.
A friend sold me an air cooled 600w(busted ballast), 1k air cooled, and I already had a 400w dimmable. So I can keep it at 250w over the autos. Would rather work with something I have, especially since it's all pretty good equipment:mrgreen:

I'll be keeping my autos in 18/6 all the way through. And I did consider a light mover. The reason why I wanted to keep the 250w in there is to have less wattage on an auto. I've read that autos can grow vigorously under a 400w or even a 250.

Some how you need to be able to tend to the massive plant growth in there?best to figure out a way to roll the plant tray out of the space so you can work the sog over?lolipop and bug sprays and topping?

I'll flip when the autos finish up. Which I'll start in the room maybe a week before the other guys.

My original idea was to just keep the Sog in the back under the 1k. That way I can still get around the autos growing under the 250. I may have to do a couple plants in Sog under the 1k instead of 4.
And a rolly tray may be beneficial for the autos so I can pull them out when I need to to get to the back
