lol i dont have or even want what your looking for but i know a few simple solutions and very effective you can use.

1. You can use those intermatic heavy duty timers that rate at 15amps, you can use each one for each light if your using 120v, but make sure each plug your plugging into the recepticle goes to different circuit if u want to use 2kW of lighting.

2. Just find a stud in your ceiling by using a stud finder or drilling small very small holes to look for stud then use a eye hook and a change with S hooks then you can hang your light and even move them up and down. All that hole which shouldn't be bigger then a dime can be fixed later on with a little bit of plaster and textile spray from your local hardware.

3. You can find any 400 watt lighting system anywhere in the US.

4. i like to use box fans from walmart and hang them onto the wall same concept as hanging the light but i drill a hole into the wall where a stud is at, and like i said those holes can be fixed.

5. Look for one on ebay their cheap.

well last time i got a hps 400watt and pluged it into my 120volt power surger power strip thing and then pluged that into the wall the thing didn't work just made a humming so did i do something wrong or what?

Don't use the powerstrip you're not suppose to use a powerstrip when running lighting anyway. You need to read some more faq about eletricity. You can cause a firehazard dude and bye bye to you.

Btw that powerstrip your using probably is bad, but like i said don't use more then 1 lighting on 1 circuit.

Goodluck to you.

ok so what do i do plug the ballast right into the wall socket?.and the strip thing im talking about is one of those things that allow u to plug mutible sockets into

yes, the multiply socket thing your trying to use is dangerous because you'll have all sorts of things on timer on there and then when everything is clicked on at the same time it might overload the circuit and cause a fire. So im just thinking for your safety dude, you can do all that it will work but its more chance you'll cause a fire then just plugging a ballast into the wall socket.

ok i went on the web and got all the remaining items i need but the dam place doesn't ship to the us,so does anyone know a web site which has the following.
1)Two Light - 2kW Timer Contactor
2)Ezi-Roll Light Hangers (pair)
3)400 Watt Budget Hobby Lighting System
4)6" Clip-on Fan
5)Digital Min-Maxi Combo Meter - Thermo Hygrometer
.all replys would be helpful, and would be great if the items weren't much more then what these are priced.thank u all.
1) You could get by with some 13 amp timers, make sure they are rated high enough, if you want the contactor still i'll have a look, but they aren't worth buying unless you get something like a 26 amp one that runs 8 600 watters off 2 sockets.

26 amp 8 way lighting contactor hydroponics grasslin on eBay Hydroponics, Plants Seeds Bulbs, Garden Plants, Home Garden (item 180150975942 end time 20-Aug-07 19:50:49 BST)

2) ez roll hangers, believe me on this one when i say you will be better off with chain. The first light setup i got i bought the ez rollers and I thought yeah this is ok. Second time I got the chains, now I would pick the chain over the rollers, the chain is easily adjustable and you can have your light higher with chains than you can ez rollers.

3) budget light systems often find their way to you from htg supply

4) clip on fan, check ebay

6 clip on fan, Heating, Cooling Air, Home Garden items on eBay.com

5 hygrometer, check ebay.

personally, i like these as they have a memory function, so you can see the temp at its highest and lowest and that goes for the humidity too

Well all the stuff you mentioned needing is in the usa so not sure why youd buy anything but seeds from out of the US if you lve here you just pay massive overhead and shipping.here 4 places to get everything you could ever need but seeds..
eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices
Maryland Hydroponics
Worm's Way - Gardening Products, Supplies, Service, Support, and Knowledge Base for all your hydroponics, indoor, outdoor and organic gardening needs, year 'round!
High Tech Garden Supply
you can use powerstrips but you have to buy the right one with high amprage built in they cost no less then $45 to start with a lower wattage one good for 1 or 2 400 watt lights but I still suggest not using them as they can heatup and melt still
