Grow space.

Ok heres the deal i've been going back and forth on a few ideas for a grow room/space.So i figured who better to help me work out the pros and cons then R.I.U.

I have a closet that's about 3.5ft(W) x 5.6ft(L) and about 8ft tall.Only problem is theres no vetalation, closest window is out of the closet about 4 feet.Which i see no problem in useing it for my ventalation.

I'm going to grow all organic inspired by CALI and the fact that organic sounds nice :blsmoke:.I have two fans i plan to use are 4'' high velocity 120Vac 60Hz.
i figured i'd put one on the rack in the top of my closet pointing downward and one on the floor pointing up ward and out the door.I could keep the window open as much as needed.Would this be enough?
I'm still trying to figure out what size light would be effecient for 2 plants.

I'm still in the early stages of buying stuff and constructing the grow room any comments or critisizm would be nice. thanks people happy growing.:peace:

Edit:What should i cover the walls and floor in?

What is your light question, what you will need for tempature control & ventilation is highly dependant on your lighting,i will tell you without knowing what lighting your using that stationary fans (box fans) suck big time, they will not circulate no where near as much air as oscalating fans will.

The best method for circulation is to have a fan bringing in cool air at ground level & a fan pushing out hot stale air at ceiling level, then if this is not enough to keep fresh air moving over the plants & through the interior of the canopy then add a 3rd fan just to keep fresh air moving through the plant mass, the plants should be moving constantly.

Air circulation & venting is 2nd only to lighting in importance.

Thanks. I never thought to use one of those, i have one in my house it's really dusty so i'd prolly want to clean it before i put it in there huh?
And my lighting question would be what size light should i get for say 1-3 plants?

A 400 watt high pressure sodium system is perfect & will cover a 3x3 area, messing around with compact florescents is not the best or cheapest lighting source.

Look up HTG supply & check out their lights.

I see the 400 watt but i don't see a system or a lamp. it shows the prices but to link to the product. and i'd have to have a ballast.i'm kind of limited on room so i don't want a bunch of wires.are there any other alternatives?
sorry i put 3-5 plants but due to room and money i'm only going to do two for now. and mainly cause this is my first grow.

Right here is the system i spoke of,i have 6 of these exact systems & they all work flawlessly, this system comes with EVERYTHING YOU NEED,all you need to do is unpack it,hang the reflector & plug it in,you do not need to assemble anything or complete any wiring, its 100% pulg & play.

The system comes with the hood,400 watt hps bulb,400 watt hps ballast, all wiring, everything you need is there, plus fdd2blk just did a lightcomparison & found his HTG supply mh system to put out more light than a more expensive sun systems unit, these htg systems are very nice.

i might look in to it later but i'm kind of short on cash and this is my first grow. so it's more of a learning thing at the moment.I think i might go with some CFLs.
does 4 23 watt sound good for 2 plants?

i appretieat the effort that will be the light i get after my first grow cause i'll be working more hours and by then my car will be paid off.

No. I did my first grow with cfls and you need atleast 3 42w cfls per plant at the least and more is better.
