Grow Tent Advice - 600w HPS - Blueberry

After a successful first bagseed grow in soil and perlite under cfls i progress to my second grow.

This time a Wilma 4 Pot Hydroponic Flood and Drain system with a 600 watt HPS in clay pebbles. Seeds = Blueberry.

So, the problem is that I have a limited grow space of 75cmx75cmx200cm so I have room to buy the BudBox Medium Grow Tent.

Would it be recommended to put a 600 watt HPS in this tent as it says on the description "400W is possible but make sure you have good extraction"

If it is what sort of ventilation am I looking at for such a system with plants like Blueberry.

Also would you advise 4 plants at once in there

Thanks in advance.

4 plants would be no probs in there. you can always put some lowryder round the sides of your garden or any available space as they are dwarf plants and aut5o flowering

stealthhawk mate i run a 600w cooltube setup in a budbox xl (1.2x1.2x2m) temps average 27*c mid summer with the light 18inches from the tops and 25*c in winter with the light a foot from the tops. in a budbox medium, the same configuration as mine would work perfectly with a 400w hps and you`get decent yields. just to give you some ideas mate HTH

you just need a good fan pushing air through your cool tube in order to keep it cool with a 600w right?

yes mate the fan i use is 5" to match the cooltube and pulls 225 cubic metres per minute dunno what that is in cfm

dont gotta worry about building a room. Get a Bloom box, Its already made for you, by pros using real research!!

a bloombox? lmfao real research? its only 4 and a half foot tall with a 400w hps in a standard reflector, no air cooled reflector, so with the height of the hydro system in the bottom and allowing sufficient distance from the light to the tops of your plants you would only have what? a foot or two of usable growspace? and them fans just look like shitty budget pc fans to me, nowhere near up to the job of cooling a room that small with a 400w hps, and you call that real research? more like extremely overpriced hunk a junk. my budbox set up cost me a fraction of the price of one of those pieces of crap, with an aircooled 600w, proper extraction and 1.8m of usable grow height if i wana grow that tall, the man that runs that bloombox company should get the rip-off merchant of the century award.

Bloombox from GrowingLife this the uk retailers of it £2749!!!!!! and they want an another 250 for extras??? cheeky fookas, no way hozay!!!! i dont care if its gold plated, youd be a mug to pay that for it, if it was under 800 fair enough, i could buy a lockable steel cabinet, better lights, PROPER extractors, co2, and a top bollocks hydro kit and build it all for a fraction of that price. its a rip off whichever way you look at it.

i agree man fuck a bloombox, over priced piece of shit!!!

question for you pro's,
i am considering running a 400W HPS in a darkroom dr60 (2'X2'X4.7')
would a 4" fan pushing 178 cfm be enough extraction for the plants to sit comfortably? or would a 250W be a better choice in such a small area?

225metres cubed / hour. i've got a 100mm that is 250m3/h which google says for 250 meters cubed / hour in cubic feet / minute :

(250 (meters cubed)) / hour = 147.144445 (cubic feet) / minute
225 would be about 130cfm.

do you think 130-150 cfm is enough grunt to move the required amount of air to keep the plants happy in a 1Mx1Mx2M mylar tent?
