Heres my Setup
600w Lumatek With Grow Bright Bulb
Carbon Filter,Duct,Light,Duct,Inline Out
Tent is about 4x4x6.5
Temps stay in Mid 80s

Hi Guyz~

I will be doing aero in a tent, but haven't got the tent yet. . . .The aero system I will be getting is 2 x 4, so my assumption is I need a tent 3 x 5. This is my first grow:) since the mid 70's.

The tent I was thinking of is by Secret Jardin. Greners.com has it for $219. A friend is giving me a 600 W light, so I have to get the other stuff.
I am thinking about a Vortex fan, and Phresh filter. I am also getting a Quantum digi ballast. I've heard that there are special bulbs for using a digi ballast, but don't know if it's just BS. Any recommendations/comments/etc.? I've done some research, but I'm an ez target for hype:) Things have changed since the 70s :)
Thanks in advance. . . .

I have the 3.5x3.5 Jardin and love it, it's top quality, easily supports both the light and filter. I also have a cheap HTG tent and they don't compare. I have a quantum digi ballast and so far its great, keep it out of your tent and it will run cool.

I would go with a bulb designed for digital ballast, as they fire much initially then match the bulbs needs. This initial burst can hurt some bulbs

if you go to ebay you can get a 4'x4'x6.5' tent for 120 and that includes shipping.i got one and ive had it for about 1 year and its great.its a no-name tent but its built good and for the price its WAY better than those other tents that go for 250-400 bucks

Hey guys, i am truely inspired by what ive read and seen in this thread..great job!

So i just got my 0.8x0.8x1.6 grow tent, starting a new grow now :)

I only have 3 pc fans, although I fear they are too small and not doing a good enough job. Im not sure how to run a set up like this so ive included some pics and would love sumone who knows a bit more than me or has done something similar to help me out here. Im running a 250w dual spectrum...pics are of about day 4 of veg :)

I have the exact same tent as you...and a similar reflector...but whats up with that reflector?...Its all bent down and such...you might want to bend those back up a bit.

If you're seeking advice, my advice for you with that tent is good airflow.

You'll need to ditch the PC fans, and step up to a nice 4" inline fan. If you have your fan exhausting out of the top vent, then you can close off the Intake tube. You'll want to do this to maximize your optimal airflow (negative air pressure). But also so that no bugs or dust can get in.

It looks like you're just starting out...so its not that important...but starting off correctly will save you time, money, and aggrivation later on.

Pm me for more advice if you want...Ive figured out alot about that tent...and where its' light leaks are.

Stay away from cheap no name tents, the white pvc/rubber compound emits a toxic gas under heat. kill your garden real fast.

I bought a cheap, no name tent from amazon...I see no white pvc or rubber.

There is no harsh fumes or anything...it gets up to 90 in there and all i can smell is plant.

Maybe your talking about some sort of really really cheap no name tent. Mine was a GYO1005A...3'x3'x6.5'. It's nice enough...for under $100.

Im not shelling out $250 for a similar tent.

Do you have pics or a grow journal? How much power are you running? I'm thinking about putting a 600w HPS + 400w MH in one

I also have a 5x5 tent and i'm running 1000w, heat would be a bigger issue if it was a warmer season or climate. A high CFM han with a cooltube is critical to keep temps down.
