wow...what an awesome thread!!! Took me two days to go through it. I'm planning a 4x4x6.5 ft tent grow with 600 watt light. I'm hoping to start early May. This thread answered all my questions. Thanks everyone!

Happy growing!!!

hmm worm something I was noticing in your video

The tips of the leaves look slightly droopy, and curled at the tips.. almost as if they are slighttly over watered.. be sure to get oxygen to your roots.

Just saying ;) maybe you just watered the shit out of them or something idk

I have ratchet ropes as well and I do the same. No sense in using the strap that way.

I like the zip tie idea, I've been just wrapping the rope over a rod and hooking the rope through the clip.

The last set I got, I bought a 'No Name' set. They come in the same packaging, same color, same plastic package.............everything is the same......... just no name on the package for $9

Note to self: setting up a 4x4x7 tent in a closet that is 6x6x9 sounds like an easy task, until you forget about the shelves that take more than a foot off each side.. Sucked balls.

Very jealous of your tent size Jaimee !!

I grow in a HomeBox Small tent (32" x 32" x 63").

Last harvest was a ONE PLANT 9+ ounce Cinderella 99 !

I paid $20 for mine and it's not $9 for those after shipping it's more like $21
oops!
Yeah, if you order them only, shipping will use up all the savings. If you're buying a lot of stuff, shipping cost is shared with the other items.

Well, it just seemed like the right size to buy. Our basement is about 1000 sf and we sectioned off a grow room in one of the corners and the 78 x 78 x 78 tent just seemed like a perfect size. :))) Wow Lady Ash...plants are looking nice and green and healthy!!!

What does everyone think of buying a complete tent set like the one here?
http://www.gianthydro.com/product_p/fullsys60.htm
It seems to have everything I would need.
Seems a bit pricey.

http://www.urbansunshine.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=233_373_375&products_id=18512 -
600w digital dimmable lumatek with vented sealed hood and bulb $339

3x3 tent $110

6" fan and filter combo $185 - your kit doesn't include filter stock.
http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-GrowBright-6in-Inline-Fan-&-Charcoal-Filter-Combo.asp

This would be a bit more of a set-up with a much nicer light system for the same price. Would have to purchase ducting yourself. You could make is a bit cheaper by getting a smaller tent ($80), 400w instead of 600w lumatek kit ($260 with sealed hood or $182 for a non sealed hood), and a 4" fan and filter combo ($120). That's $380 instead of the $580 that other system costs and you still have a 400w dimmable MH/HPS digital ballast over a 250w old-school HPS.

Hello peeps, great thread.
I've got a dr60 II & I'm a week into my first grow. Love the jardin but thing is I haven't set up my ventilation & odour control yet (and this is important as I live in an apt)
I'd like to ask you lot if a 100mm TD silent fan with a C.Filter would be enough for extraction & smell? As mentioned earlier in the thread there's not much room in these tents, so I was gonna have the fan & filter on top of the tent and obv connected to the tent with accoustic ducting fed into the vent hole on the top of the tent. Would this work ok?
And sorry to be a noob but what fans would you recommend for inlet?
I'm running an LED in there and I've just got an oscilating fan outside the tent, which is blowing through the open panel at the bottom.
the temps stay around 77-80 as it is now but I want to put a little clip on fan inside the tent so I can close the panels and have it lightproof (or at least almost lightproof)
Many thanks & muchos +rep for help with my noobness
