go to home depot or lowes and buy a kill-a-watt easy meter, about 25 bucks. you plug it in, plug your light into it, tell it how much your utility charges per kwh, and let it run for a while. if you have it on a timer, let it run through two days of cycling on and off to get a really good reading. it'll tell you how much per hour, day, month, even yearly. it'll also tell you the wattage drawn from the wall, the amperage, and several other things
