Grow tents/ventilation with 400 watt hps

Hey guys Im looking for the smallest possible tent to accommodate my 400 watt hps self contained ballast "this bitch runs HOT" . I have 4" ducting with 171 cfm inline fan. The very biggest the tent can be is 3 x 3 x 6. Im working with about 80 degree room temperature. Is it possible to have such high room temps with so many watts in such a small tent. I dont want to buy one then end up back where I started. The whole reason for getting a tent is to get my temps under control. I'm currently flowering with cfl's because of this issue so if anyone can give me advice that would be awesome. How else could i run a 400 watt hps in a closet without temps 90-100 Thank you all

i found one on ebay its 4 x 2 x 5 thats like 40 cubic feet a 171 cfm fan would clear the room 4 times a min could that still not be enough to keep it under 90 degrees. With a 400 watt hps do you think more cubic feet tent with 171 cfm fan is better than less cubic feet with same fan. How does size of tent change the air temp when considering the use of 171 cfm inline fan and 400 watt hps?

I think tents are overpriced and too thick. I built a frame with 2x2s and wrapped it with panda film. Around 70 bucks. Its 3x4x7 and I too have a 400w hps and my temps are just fine

true i could do that. I dont have very many power tools so cutting 2 x 4's and ply wood wouldnt be easy. I want it to be pretty much air tight and light proof. Grow tents are well insulated so heat only escapes where you make it and air only comes in where you intake it. less uncontrolled variables is what my grow room needs . I want to start a clean well functioning perpetual stealth grow . I dont want to buy 100 cfl's to get the recults i want when i have a light that can give me good yields. Thanks for the advice I'm still not sure what im going to do. Got one mini dina fem california hash plant growing. Vegged two weeks shes in first week of flowering. Hoping to have a foot tall plant when finished maybe get half off her. I also have a great white shark and a church seedlings. Going to use them as mothers for mini sog. Maybe harvest 4 clones every month.
