Sounds like you are not using organic nutrients that's why the salts build up. Use worm castings if you can get them and mix 30% worm, 35% promix or sunshine, 35 % coco ( if you can't get thw castings go 50/50). Just water with 30% recommended nutrients and just water for last 10 days. Best grows I have ever had. I use to live on the dark side and feed my babies chemicals be now I will never go back. Way to easy to grow this way and it tastes far better. I use 4 x 4 raised beds.

what nutrients are you feeding with? Do you reuse your mix?

Pathogens can build up and remain in the soil after harvest. I'v wondered if a hot compost will clense the soil for re ammending.

I use a blend of coco/sunshine/worm castings. 33/33/33 and I only use Growzime, Liquid Carma, Pure Blend Pro for soil and calmax. I feed at a rate of no more than 30 to 40% recommended. I do give then a blast from week 2 to 6 of no more than 60%. I give them water for the last week which uses up any leftover nutrients.

I never replace the mixture. coco is good for a couple of years and worm castings are good for 2 to 3 years. Sunshine is peat-moss. All are recyclable too!

I grow in 4x4 raised beds 12 inches tall. I plant 5 rows of 4 plants that are 20 inches tall with 1 1000 over each bed.

Harvest time I pull the plants up by the roots and cut the root ball off, this takes with it about a 6 inch pots worth of soil. 20 plants = 1/2 contractor bag of soil and roots. I recycle it through a screen and use it to plant my clones in. Repeat as necessary.

To prepare to plant again I use my hands and dig down to the bottom, lots of roots down there. I turn it all top to bottom and plant the new ones. Any big clumps of roots i toss out.

I have grown many ways and can tell you this is not only the healthiest, earth friendly, best tasting, bug free (worn castings do that) EASY, EASY way to do it but the best yields ever and consistent quality.

How much do I get 750 grams per lite = 1.75 lbs. I think this is a very good yield and it has taken years to get there. I have heard of people getting 2 lbs a lite I just have never met one.

Ok. I do 4x8 raised beds. I mix one Large rare earth(2kg) I use the empty rare earth container and take two scoops of high phos bat guano. 1 large bag of wormcastings, 3 bales of pro-mix and 500g grams of oxycal.
The second time around i add a big bag of perlite:weed:
Then i water with Pureblendprobloom and a complete hydroponic recipe. AN. and some other things like karboboost, hydroboost, koolbloom, diamond nectar and jacks big bud 10-30-20. I go a little light on the threepart AN and try to add more pureblend pro. I also add one tbsp of rhinoskin per 25 gallons.
ROd water for the last two weeks.
I think if you flush good you will still get that organic taste.:hump: Only use Chems for 5 weeks. Flush good then water then with a homemade tea.

My 4x4 raised beds have an EDPM 45m liner ( also known as pond liner ). What goes in stays in no drainage so no run off. I water when they need it 5 to 7 days.

If you do have your set up so there is runoff I would reuse it as a tea. After all it is all organic. Cow or sheep shit, I have had great results out side with them and I don't need to go back to fertilize.

Peace

Happy Easter All

you throw away right? The raised bed left overs are great for outdoor. I just use poly
I need to run off because of the chems i use. But if your not using chems then why would you even need a run off?

Hey Woodsmaneh! I've been giving your coco combination you listed here a go and I tried to post you a private message but I just joined and it wouldn't let me, still finding my way around this place.

This is my first grow, wanted to go Organic and after doing my homework I decided to use your 30/30/30 combination of coco/SunshineMix(had to substitute with Promix)/EWCastings and have been feeding with Hydrozyme/Liquid Karma/Calmax/PureBend Pro.

I was just wondering what your detailed feeding/watering schedule was like because I'm having a few issues and my monkeys are not doing very well. I'm six days into 12/12 and my big fan leaves are turning yellow, are papery and have brown spots that are looking necrotic. I've also got some malformed new growth as well.

Really worried that things are going south quickily and was hoping you could help. I'll throw up some pic's and further details if you're cool with helping me out.

Thanks
