Growing a regular is it worth the time?

If I was to have a male plant and it had seeds how would I make the seeds useable.... I would appreaciate it if someone described it in detail.:)

Male plants do not produce seeds.

They produce pollen to impregnate the females who then make seeds.

If you're limited to a one plant grow then regs are a waste of your time.

well worth the time its the only way really un less you have no other option im do auto fem, this year but not really happy about it to be honest but no other option.

Pick a nice strain like dj shorts blueberry or any of tga's and get a female you can keep her for has long has you like the clones in my post i have just put up are both of plants that are min 4 year old mother, but i re clone new mother every year i want my mothers a certain size, that will produce just the right amount of clones for me and a few friends but i do not trade in clones it gets out of hand if you do that and certain gene pools i want to keep just for me,that way i have breed the plants my self i know no one else has the bud i have and people go mad for it,but i very very rare sell any.

I might get rid of 4 oz max a year, just to pay towards a holiday.I have friends who relay on me for there oil so we chip in for electric cost, but they receive oil for free other than the bit towards electric there are a few of us just grow for oil/sift hash but that's has far has it goes.

I suggest everybody to try regs at least once. Experiment with everything, get to know what you are growing in all aspects. Indoors it's more of a space thing but you can get in at least 3 grows a year so why not try it. Also regs will give you different phenotypes, might find an unusual keeper that not many other people have. GL

FEMANISED SEEDS
----------------------------
Up side is that any one new to growing can just chuck some beans on kitchen towel gemanate them and off ya go
too me that is the only up side.

DOWN SIDE TO FEMANISED SEEDS
---------------------------------------------------
If you are new to growing then you will prob have heat issues and other factors like nute doses, ext
the thing is that fem seeds can so easy turn on you and all your hard work and risk, can result in bud with
seed in.

The problem with the seed in fem buds is it is worthless well a gamble because it has been made through stress
so more than likely will carry the hermie traits in the seed.

I would advice any new grower not to take the easy option and go with regular seeds because these genes can be kept for
has long has you like, but go with a plant that you know has good track record retail wise if ya get me blueberry blues jack herer or blue cheese ex cheese.then these plants once you have a female can be kept for years, and when you fancy a change just get a few extra clones took and if you have a good male through it on one of the other strains you have done.that way you are creating a plant that will suit you what you like,eg-i like jack herer but love cheese both help in there own way medicaly so i have crossed the two,you will struggle to get a finer smoke and people go mad for it.

It is a little more work but once the first bit of sexing is done its all down hill from there,i also think with regular seeds you can get
them used to your room, say if temps are running high and you have a 100% female then it will become used to the heat, where has a fem seed there is always a bit of worrie about is it to hot,is it gonna seed.

It's a strawberry sour diesel I got 2 of them that were freebies both reg seeds.
germanate them its best time of year for it if its summer where ya at because grow them then clone them put the clones on 12/12 off and see if you have a female if you do have say one of each let the two that you used to sex run the course out side and collect the beans of them and flower the female once you have a clone of her has a mother or just use the seeds you have made. But i would take a clone if its your first time breeding just to make sure that you 100% have the gene pool of the ssd, nice strain.

In time you will be able to sex plants without flowering, just at a certain time in veg they will show you if there female or male.

Telling ya dude don't take the easy option you will be a lot happier knowing you have the ssd female for has long has you want, while the clones are rooting carry on vegging the plants you took the clones of,and keep topping, once the tops have grown into two tops top again so you have 4 tops on every single branch, top every top even the lower stuff

So I would be fine with a fem but just need to watch heat......?
yea but i would stick to a well known breeder of fem seeds like greenhouse, they recon that they have took the hermie part out of there fem seeds, load of shyt impossible there made through stressing a female into produceing male traits.

But if you aint ordered yet try the cheese they do exodus cheese,or super silver haze,i have done there full chart so i know a fair bit about green house seeds,

I hate putting growers on to the self claimed king of cannabis, but they do the most stable fem seeds with out a dowt

Do not take any of this as solid advice, it is not. Noobs should NEVER be encouraged to introduce pollen into their grows. Get yourself clones from a reputable source or go with FEMINIZED seeds so you know you have a female. All that talk about feminized seeds being hermie prone is nonsense. Hermaphroditic traits are genetic and can only be induced in unstable strains under stressful conditions (often caused by new growers who help their plants to death). Spelling is a big plus too as is grammar if you are to have any credibility giving advice on this site. Happy Growing :weed:

Yeh I'm doing a pc grow and I want to be as stealthy as possible.... So going with cheese strains would be a big no no as their stanky...
I have 4 fast bud #2 autos but I want a photo because I want to do 12/12 ASAP..... So an auto on 12/12 possibly right away wouldn't go down to well!!!

You would leave an auto on 20/4.

Photo plants even started on 12/12 still go through a veg cycle for about 3-5 weeks before they begin to flower.

J

Yeh but with autos they don't do aswell as photos do on 12/12 photos can be vegged for any amount of time then moved to 12/12 autos can't they automatically do it.

So I
germanate them its best time of year for it if its summer where ya at because grow them then clone them put the clones on 12/12 off and see if you have a female if you do have say one of each let the two that you used to sex run the course out side and collect the beans of them and flower the female once you have a clone of her has a mother or just use the seeds you have made. But i would take a clone if its your first time breeding just to make sure that you 100% have the gene pool of the ssd, nice strain.

so I could take clones of a male plant and the clone could turn out to be a female or not..... It's May 15th here

I just don't want to waste money on nutes if it turns out a male so wouldn't I be better going with fem get used to it then experiment with different things

as someone stated earlier, phenos. breeding a specific pheno and crossing it with something also awesome would so be worth it, oh when i have the space...

EDIT: and the money youd "waste" on nutes, would just be spent on fems, theyre usually more expensive.,taking a clone is just that. a clone. what you said will not work. female clones from female plants. if the plant is like mold susceptible or light sensitive, prone to hermie, easily stressed...etc the clone will have those traits as well..if your looking to learn stuff and you dont have any successful harvests just use bag seed, bagseed can produce great results when not pollinated.
