where can i get a really good price on things like mylar and charcoal filters? thermometers hydrometer co2 meter, i need to pick up a few things online before my ''green bean'' seeds arrive.

and a 400 watt hps to mh conversion bulb, all i see are ones for like 100 bucks.

imo Don't get the conversion. stick with the hps. the conv bulb is 60.00 I used The mh one grow. Just cfl's and hps now. Your veg might be a little slower with just cfl's but you save $$ on power

some things on there look expensive. i can get a 1/3 of it for free where i used to work... and you have to pay for shipping.

A lot of times, the geographical relationship between you and the company will have a great effect on the final price. Shipping can be a real bitch on big parts like hoods, medium and nutrients. plantlightinghydroponics.com has really good prices on lights. 4hydroponics.com and hydroempire have free shipping on bigger orders. It will probably make sense to split up your orders.

You posted a ton of messages in a short pierod of time expressing the need for urgency then go on to say you can get 1/3 of it for free and comlpaining about shipping. You can most likley get everything you need locally and much of it free or cheap and jerry-rigged to work. Put your energy into sourcing what you need locally or work extra hours at your job to earn the extra money to order what you need. You get what you pay for.

i meant pots and topsoil, peat moss, vermiculite, perilite, sand.....
little bullshit like cheap mylar sheeting, a 400 watt HPS to MH conversion bulb, gagues, nutes, castings, coconut fiber, water retention crystals, etc.
grow mediums and containers can be picked up locally this time of year because of spring planting. that's why i said a 1/3.

it is kind of urgent... i'm online looking now.... i started a thread that shortly gave me enough info to purchase my seeds.... so naturally i started another... i got a good deal too. just looking for a really good place with discount codes and stuff.

can anybody find a 2 foot by 4 foot plastic tray to place my pots in for drainage that doesn't cost 80 dollars? not a hydro system, dirt. just for drain water.

what would be good to put in the tray to absorb water? cat litter and sand or something? or both?

Try a local nursery for most grow supplies. Try a pet store for aquatic activated charcoal. As for mylar try a hardware store or a dollar store for reflective-backed wrapping paper.

Or Wal-Mart!

Plastic trash bag in a shoe/cardboard box can contain pots. Old plates, bowls, platters, etc. Like those plastic school lunch trays, those are cheap.

Wal-Mart sells plastic pot drainage trays for like 20-50 cents depending on size.

Just goto Wal-Mart(or similar). They have everything you need. Minus the organic shit.
