So what exactly do you do for the police again?
The company I work for makes Apps. Like Microsoft Word is a Microsoft App.
The Government has everything in Cobol, but everyone uses Java and stuff now. So the company I work for is helping them all switch from Black Screens with Green Words, and lots of _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ and Y/N for Yes and No, and all that, to screens where they can click "X" and drag and drop windows, and have tabs, and tabs that they need and use the most, etc. And they want to be in the Cloud so if you burn down any Government building they won't lose everything.
And what I do is work on the contracts for that, which are called RFPs. The Government does a Request for Proposal (RFP) and a bunch of companies submit proposals, including ours. And we are actually a smaller company that is contracted by a company that is similar to Xerox and Deloitte and Accenture, etc, but the company we work for just puts their name on it and we do the work. And I write the Proposals in response to their RFP, and it's like.
1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1 Scope

1.1.1.1.1.1.1.3 Resources

And it takes multiple people months to complete, and I work with a bunch of people from India and with people who are in India still. And I have like been to City Halls to meet with Government employees about what they need, it's called "Requirements Gathering".
