This is my first indoor grow and i could use a little help.

Ok i started the plants outside and once they got to be about an inch tall i moved them inside. They are about two feet under a 400W Mh light that i will change to HPS for veg.

The problem is that i water them well but when i checked on them they a dried out and withered.

The light is on a 18/6 cycle and i had figured it was to much light for the plant. So that is why i moved it to about two feet away from the tops but i have not seen any improvment yet.

They are in an attic which can get quite hummid but there is a small air hole i thought would ventalate fine.

I realy dont think that my light is to strong but it could possibly be the unvented room.

If i were to get a fan would they start sprouting up.

What am i doing wrong?

ps how so i know when to switch hps lights. do i do it right when i can specify if its a male or female or do i give it some time to accumulate resin.

pss does any one know any tricks on how to get some cool colors in the plant i have heard of using purple coolaid but it could just be a myth.
The drying out can also mean they are "root bound". Maybe switch to a bigger container.

i think that 24 hours is a waste of power (my opinion) 18-6 worked great for me and a friend growing the same exact strain did 24-0 with a worse outcome.......prolly not due only to the light cycle but it was surely a factor
