Growing HPS and COB Side by side.

Hello everyone!

I am doing a comparison grow between 1000W DE HPS and COB CXB 3590 @~90W X 6.

Clones, trained identically.

I am noticing the buds under the HPS to be maturing faster, denser, bigger.
COB is way more crystals and smell.

The only difference in the two environments, is the heat from the HPS is more (you can feel it on your hand) (while cobs nothing). Also, the spectrum of HPS way more red, is it the spectrum or the heat or BOTH?

Do these results sound right?

I was hoping to best HPS in density and weight?

I’m going to see how a know strain I’ve ran ( kimbo kush) that I’ve ran under my leds citizen 1818’s. Now I’m running them under a de 630 cmh to see the difference.

That is what we keep hearing for sure.

However I believe that if you back away the hps as the buds ripen just like tapering off nutes since they don’t need as much light or nutrients toward the end of the Grow much better results are possible with hps.

I have only compared cmh to hps. I have no led yet. But everyone says the same about cmh. I got more and as high quality from the hps after I realized what I am suggesting.
