OK, so we're all impressed and I am sincere in that but...............and don't get all butt hurt now..............
what have ya done for us lately??
other than making sure all us newbies know the order on the food chain??
Seems like some of you "master growers" are a little stingy with advice! jmho
if some of these guys with problems waited untill you posted they would be sitting on dead plants for the most part.
It does come a little easier to some than to others but wtf, we just say eff u, figure it out dumbass??

Hey guy's my point was that there are a lot of people online that shouldn't be giving advice or taking it from people they don't know anything about.

I feel the best thing I can do for this community is stay active & engaged. If you click the link in my signiture below, it will take you to my grow thread. I answer questions from fellow growers & offer advice daily.

I can't possibly get around to all posts on RIU, but if you go to my thread I'll help you any way I can. I don't think anyone who has posted on my grow thread would say I was 'stingy'. Quite the opposite, I share everything I'm doing, in real time.

Sorry you feel that way doser, but there are a lot of good growers here, if you can just find them. Good luck bro

P.S. That picture was last year, here is one I posted from yesterday

you must be looking in the wrong places.
I learned damn near everything I know from just googleing stuff and personal exp.
Iv never asked someone "what have you done for me lately" little immature, no?
All of the answers to all of your questions are out there on the net, you have to find them. Nothing good comes easy, remember that.

And it is a weed after all lol some of you turn it into rocket science when it doesn't need to be.

@ double jj, Iv noticed ur posts on several threads and you are one of the users that make this site so great. Users like yourself, wheezer, and TMB (just off top of my head) are who i look up to, and hope to be like later in life. you guys are always happy to share advice from your experiences growing and It is obvious when i read your posts that you are an expert and have many many years of experience. Thank you DoubleJJ for staying active and engaged, u and the other expert growers that only make up 5% of the people on RUI make this site for the rest of us, the other 95% that wanna be like you.

@whodanation, sure it is a weed and it is very easy to put a plant in the ground and keep it alive. But for you to say that it takes minimal effort to grow dope like you have in your picture is not true. you can not honestly tell me that it didnt take you a long time to build your knowledge, or did u just put some seeds in dirt and get that tasty looking bud first try? i dont think so. And sure everything you need to know about growing can be found on google, but it takes time and just like on here you can find some bad advice from googling shit if u click on the wrong site. Do you know how i first found this site? i googled what plants need for ferts when i was 17 and one of the options was a thread from this site, Iv been on this site ever since then because there is an unlimited library of knowledge on here if you talk to the right people like Double JJ. After all this is a FORUM, a place for us to share our experiences and ask other growers for advice. No offense but if you learned everything you know (which is obviously alot, from ur buds) from googling it, then what the hell do you have 2,917 posts? Since you dont ask people questions on here, and you dont share advice on here, why the fuck are you here and why do you have so many posts? was it just 3,000 posts of putting less experienced growers down, showing them ur bud and making them feel insuperior? if thats the case your a real prick. Im sorry, i may be completely wrong but from what you said you should just get off RUI. Im saying this because according to you and your pictures, you already know everything you need to know to grow good dope thanks to google, you wont share advice because you think we're lazy for asking instead we should google it and rely on trial and error. it seems to me that your only on here to be an unhelpful prick and show off ur dope, i meen damn 3000 posts of no advice, no questions, and only arrogance come on man.

You are way off buddy.
Im still learning every day. I help allot of folks out that have questions.
lol 3k posts with no advice? you've obviously looked through at least 20 of my posts to figure that out
I have never claimed to be a master, Im still a student and will be for a long time.
Doing your own research and teaching yourself will make you a superior gardener.
Im here to learn and show my grow, I also like to help others along the way.

I dont deserve any of the rep I have :-( do I?
Im guessing youv had a rough day and needed to vent, tis ok :-)

btw I never said it takes "minimal effort" to grow nice plants.. Its quite the contrary actually... but effort and rocket science aren't the same thing.

Nothing good comes easy, remember that.
kiss

btw, Any questions?

Look, my point is that I regularly answer questions from newbies that have asked a question and get little or no advice from anyone who knows more than I do. I admit I know little. No qualms about that. But if I can help a guy regarding cloning or something else then I do. If you (and I mean you in only the broadest terms) won't help then don't criticise someone else for stepping in and filling a void. Besides half the time I'm posting to further a discusion that I might learn something. I'm stubborn but I'm not so stubborn that I don't pay attention and take notes when you guys tell me I'm full of crap. I am not thin skinned.
As far as I'm concerned it's all good. Love ya no shit!! When I grow up I wanna be just like ya JJ. no offense intended seriously, I mean that. These short criptic messages can be misunderstood so I hope to be given the benifit of the doubt as far as good intentions and when I'm out of line, go ahead and blow me up. I can take it!!
peace out

No disrespect to you either whodat. really!! I'm sure you have helped inumerable people, many who don't even post. I was learning from you guys long before I posted and I think I'm very typical. I believe any conversation is a good conversation as differnt views are forwarded and no one on here has to accept your view or my view, there is plenty of room here for your own view, whatever that may be. I'm hoping you don't take any of this personally as I'm hoping you will be there for me when I ask you how to grow those monsters of yours. I'm thinkin next spring?

@ whodanation hey man ya im sorry, i definately took that to far idk i guess ur right about the venting thing, its just the guy before u that just called it a straight weed like its a millkweed kinda pissed me off then i took your comment the wrong way and vented lol. but i dont agree with the straight google thing either i prefer reading on here or posting questions to google, i can spend an hour on here and just read without posting but google is more specific, i like RUI to see what people are doing and seeing if i can somehow learn from it. Anything only is just a reference point anyways because nothing compares to watching the plants grow.

btw i definately didnt creep your posts or anything just new that u said you didnt like people asking questions and saw under your pic that u had 3k, so i assumed alot of it was useless lol no offense, your way ahead of me and that bud looked damn sexy those buds were so swollen im very jealous, what strain?

It was ak grown in a rdwc system. It was my first run ever in hydro btw.

No offense taken.

Like you said before. Google brings you to grow sites like riu, and I consider that a result of googling. Thing is there are plenty of threads started on the same subject the the info is already there,,, just gotta read through allot of material and build your own answer after sifting through the bull shit. You end up learning allot more through the process as oppose to just asking someone for the answer to one particular problem. I also have no issue with people asking, but damn the info is already out.

I feel everyone has made some valid points, but specifically whodatnation's comment about googling... I also feel that very very few people actually make the effort to search and read through 1000's of the old threads to find the already provided information. I've been a memeber for a few years now, constantly active, and i've had to ask very very few questions because I did the work of reading to find my answers that the OG's of RUI have already provided over and over and over again. This isn't a hobby for the lazy.. thats just my opinion though.

Ya know guys, some of us just like the conversation too! It's kinda the nature of the biz to keep it all on the down low and this forum gives us a chance to smoke a big fat one and shoot the shit! Once in a while we inadvertently learn something............DOH!!

Forkin bloody ell!!

I'll second that opinion. And to Doublejj... I don't know that we've ever spoken, but I have seen you around a few times, strangely enough, answering peoples questions, lol.

Lot's of people on RIU willing to help, you just have to ask them. ;) ;) I don't ever go looking in the forums for questions to answer... but, I have walked people from knowing nothing to harvest quite a few time because they either pm'd me, or wrote in my journal to check out their journal. It's amazing all the things in life available to you simply from asking for it.

It's also amazing how quickly people jump on other peoples backs in the forums. It's pretty much the only reason I don't go around looking for questions to answer.

Soryy its kinda lengthy.

whodat, thanks for offering to assist. i will be setting up a simular set up in the near future. im the planning type so need the picture in my head before i build. i want to run c02 n wanted to pick your brain on how yours is set up. you dont need to write a book or give all at once but your experience will shorten the curve for me for sure. thanks
Sorry for taking so long pal.

To start off,
The "shell" is built with 1/2 inch osb, a type of plywood, and 2x4s. I just used the dimensions of 4x8 for ease of use, thats how the plywood comes and no need to make cuts unless your fine fitting on an uneaven surface.
Shell partly built,, This is a good time to cut the doors and figure all that out.

Air for lights.
Figure out how you want your lights before hand and cut holes for ducting in the right place the first time.

The air for my lights is totally separate from the air inside my room.
The extraction fans for my lights are mounted inside my room.
Its best to keep straight lines with your ducting to increase the efficiency of the "suction" of the heat out of your light system.
If you can afford it put simple elbows on all bends in ducting.
IMO its best to set your extraction fan to suck the hot air out and ditch it out the other end.
I use 6 inch ducting even for my 1ks, its fine if you only have a few big lights. For larger systems with 5+ lights Id go with 8 inch.

So now I gotta cool the room without extracting air inside the room (co2).
Thats either
a portable ac (the right kind.) Im not familiar with them.
a window unit.
or a split unit ~~~ :-) the best. but for bigger systems..

Now heat from the lights isnt an issue.
Its a good idea to insulate your room, even in the slightest way. All I use is 3/4 inch reflective insulation board bought from a home improvement store. I put this on the walls floor and ceiling.
I also caulk all joints 3-4 times over (before and after installing the insulation board). All doors have weather stripping foam on them to seal those spots up too.
I use the spray foam "greatstuff" to seal spots around the ac and 6 inch ducting along with any other big holes.

ok, got the lights and ducting and extraction fans set and sealed up nice eh? good job :-) that was quck ;-) hehe
Also want a few ocilating fans in the mix, I know you know that but Im on a roll haha.

A dehumidifier is a must as well. I use a 25 pint on a auto drain.

Now,,,
Your room is sealed and bright and cool and dry all at the same time :-) but you need "fresh air" aka co2 :-)

Normal co2 levels in the atmosphere (depending on location) are around 450 ppm (parts per million) of co2. That is the max any conventional "in/out" room will achieve. This room can hold and stay at 1,500 ppm of co2 at all times of lights on. The co2 controller you buy determines how accurate your ppm levels will be though. My controller / monitor cost 700 us... It keeps the ppm within 20 points of my "set point" though... very precise and worth it.
You will also need a regulator for a co2 tank.. Burners are an necessary hazard for smaller set ups IMO.

NOW REMEMBER
Everything needs to be on point for co2 to do its magic! Perfect the enviroment and your root conditions (either it be soil or hydro) then co2 will be like nitrous to your little growing machine! vroooom vrooom :-)

Your plants will also be able to process light faster so putting 75 w a sq foot isnt really a waste  maybe haha. You know my style

This also means they will eat more food and drink water faster so be prepared for that! but always be careful not to over feed  balance is key. :blsmoke:

Thats pretty much my room besides the details on my hydro system :peace:

Let me know if I missed anything! mmmmmmk :eyesmoke:

I think that people should have to take a quiz to test how much they really know about growing to get credit, Not from making 5,000 posts. I'm sure if your on here that much you prob know your shit but there is a thing called GOOGLE and that can make you a genius
YES INDEED!!!!

Dr. Google is wise, he/she is.

I mean, most of the answers I get for people on tehse boards are FROM Google as well as from personal experience.

So, yeah, it seemes like a lot of growers are lazy on these boards, or dumb....whatever.

+rep to you...
