Growing Legally in Oregon

Hey all,

I'm looking to grow legally in Oregon, but can't seem to find answers to the questions that I have. So I figured I would ask you.

Is getting a grower license in Oregon a Catch-22? Do I need to have patients first, that list me as their grower, to become a grower? Seems like it would be impossible for a patient to just pick a new, legal grower, since the grower doesn't have a track record, or product, or references, etc.. But you can't be a legal grower with a patient. Is this correct?

Can you submit a grower application before you have patients?

I doubt I'd be able to get a medical card for myself, since I don't really suffer from any of the ailments listed. Nor do I know any doctors around here that would prescribe it.

Any other information I should know about?

A lot of people in Oregon cant receive MMJ as easily as states such as California, so its not as easy as googling OMMP. Not everyone that wants a card has the medical history that a doctor would sign off on. They also might have trouble actually getting any such medical history built at all if they are without insurance.

To OP, basically a patient has to chose you as the grower. It needs to be someone you trust because the patient has A LOT of power-- as in the plants you grow literally belong to them. If you are an experienced grower you might be able to find a patient who cant grow their own and is tired of "donating" to $10/g and work something out.

Great info shitface.

If you don't think any of those patients can't show up with the police and ask for "their" plants back than you need to back and reread the law. How do you have 237 patients when the limit per grower is 4? Standard microdick RIU troll post, what else is new on this forum.

Thanks for the info Southerner. It was what I was thinking, but just needed it confirmed. I'll figure something out.

Its always funny when a thread gets edited makes everything a little out of sink.:???::eyesmoke:
I can only imagine who the ass hat was that got deleted.
And just to correct something here, yes you can only be a grower for 4 patients or 3 if you grow for your self also. But you can be the caregiver to as many patients as you like. They are the grower on the site and you assist by being the caregiver of them and the garden. I think they are changing the rule on how many growers can be on a single address in march though.

And to get back to the first question, First thing is to read the law, its not that long and easy to look up online just type in ommp law. Second I would call and talk to a couple of the larger clinics and see if you can get your card. Also some of the clinics have monthly meetings and get together's for non-card holders to meet and greet. I know mamas.org does alot of stuff and there is thc-foundation.com just for a couple options.
Good luck

How do you tell if you are TRUE WHITE TRASH? You have a birthday party where you invite every one on line and try and make money off them and no one comes...lol..you can take the hillbilly out of the person but cant take the person out of the hillbilly..
You do know you are nothing but a joke right? You keep coming here over and over again and spew the same hate crap. Steve or Jeff or what ever your name is, the names you call me and everyone else make no impact on anyone's life. Face it you just don't matter here or in the real world. Get mental help before you hurt yourself.

He keeps kicking his own rock. The guy is stuck on stupid, and keeps coming back here spouting the same garbage. He just doesn't get a clue. Talks about how losers keep coming here, but has created about 10 accounts to do so. Now that's what I call a loser.
