Growing near ant hills

Anybody have any experience with growing marijuana close to ant hills. Im asking because a couple plots I would like to grow in this year have ant hills with black ants. I was wondering if anybody knows if theres a safe distance to have my plants away. Ive had plots with just the odd ant crawling around, doesnt seem to effect my plants, but If were talking a whole ant hill with probably thousands, are they going to mess up my plants, if the plants are only a couple feet away from the ant hill. Its just such prime location Id hate to pass it up, But Id love to hear some feedback. thanks

I had a huge ant hill about ten feet away from a big plant last year and it was fine.

I actually think they kept other bugs away.

yeah dont worry about the ant hills my grow spot has accouple large ant mounds, last year i decided to destroy one and kill all the ants. dont do that. like you said there are THOUSANDS of ants in the mounds and i obviously couldnt kill them all but since there mound was poisioned they left it in search of a new home, most of the ants decided to make homes under the buckets my plants were planted in, so i dug holes and buried the buckets, but still the ants had no negative effect that i could see. Dont worry bout it you will be fine

I had an issue in my "regular" garden last year with ants. They were actually farming aphids. I guess its not to common but I searched google for "ants farming aphids" and found a bunch of results. They would attack beneficial insects that came to eat the aphids too.. it was a trip to watch.
